I don’t like the message that’s being spread around right now. At least one African-American columnist from the Baltimore Sun has tried to spread fear and racial divide. What I see is a lame attempt at extortionate intimidation to assure Barack Obama gets installed into the Whitehouse.
African-Americans can’t have that short a memory. When that happens in our country the death and destruction always becomes localized in the ghettos. The impact, damage and suffering is always heaviest on the African-Americans themselves.
A far better idea is move forward encouraging businesses and investors to create jobs. Too many people forget that no government can force anyone to create job opportunities. That only happens when people unite with purpose and energy giving confidence to the business community. That will never happen under Obama’s anti-business Socialist ways.
I have no problem with an African-American President. I have a huge problem with a Socialist President of any race. Barrack Obama is a socialist, who has tightly aligned himself with fellow Communists and Socialists. Obama has a terrible agenda for America that will cost millions their jobs.
San Francisco, CA—If some get their way in the City by the Bay, local taxpayers stand to save $11 million dollars a year not including courts and jail costs.
It’s on the ballot and It’s called Proposition K and it forbids the local authorities arresting, investigating or prosecuting anyone for sexual commerce between consenting adults.
I thought the Indian reservations were going to break ground with this idea like they did with gambling. It just has not happened, yet.
I know that prostitution enforcement and the defense lawyers generate as much commerce as the prostitution itself. But this may be a way for cash strapped local governments to save some real money.
Police could and should still enforce public indecency laws and preclude child prostitution and child exploitation. I don’t see any real benefit to trying to outlaw the world’s oldest profession.
I suspect that decriminalization would mean the hookers would rely less on pimps and panderers and be able to keep more of their earnings. This also may reduce other crimes associated with prostitution because they would interfere with a legal business.
Tampa, FLTampa, FL—14 years after Area 2 Detective’s Commander, Jon Burge was fired by the police board and today he was taken into custody by FBI agents.
The United States attorney for the Northern District of Illinois announced that “Burge was charged with two counts of obstruction of justice and one count of perjury in a three-count indictment that was returned under seal by a federal grand jury last Thursday and unsealed today following his arrest by FBI agents from Chicago and Tampa."
Over several decades Burge was accused of departmental violations and the City of Chicago paid millions in civil damages to various suspects after they claimed officers under Burge’s command tortured them into confessing crimes.
The people Burge’s detectives were accused of torturing were among the most notorious cop killers and street gang members in Chicago. Some of the convicted suspects were pardoned by former Governor George Ryan who is currently serving a federal prison term for official corruption.
Burge and his officers were the target of African-American community group’s wrath for decades.
If convicted, Burge faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison on each count of obstruction of justice and 5 years in prison for perjury, and a $250,000 fine on each count. The Court, however, would determine the appropriate sentence to be imposed under the advisory United States Sentencing Guidelines.

Burge was represented by a federal court-appointed attorney for today’s hearing. (I don’t have his/her name.) He is being released this afternoon on a $250,000 secured bond, meaning he will be posting his residence as security. He must surrender his passport. He must report to pre-trial services in the Middle District of Florida twice a week. He must surrender his firearms to a friend for safe-keeping.
Burge's travel is restricted to the Middle District of Florida and the Northern District of Illinois. He must give pre-trial services in Tampa his travel plans when he comes to Chicago. He is currently scheduled to be arraigned at 9 a.m. on Monday October 27 before U.S. District Judge Joan H. Lefkow in U.S. District Court in Chicago.
Los Angeles, CA—In the City of Angels the inmates are running the asylum. Women can’t carry firearms for protection and because of sheer recklessness rapists are going free.
Why you ask? It’s because the LAPD has let over 7000 rape evidence collection kits go untested. That caused hundreds of rape cases to run past the statute of limitations eliminating the possibility of prosecutions. Unforgivable you say? The city’s gun laws held the women down so the rapists could rape with impunity. Then the LAPD made sure the rapists would go free.

Phoenix, AZ—B. Michael Dann was a Maricopa County Superior Court judge for 20 years. The last five of those years included replacing Judge Robert C. Broomfield as Presiding Judge when he won a federal Judgeship.
Judge Dann is a classy and distinguished fellow who brought several innovations to the court that were copied in other jurisdictions throughout the country. My opinion is that Judge Dann was one of those judicial activists who felt we have a “Living Constitution” that could be simply changed by the courts to be what he believed were the needs of the community.
As Presiding Judge, Dann regulated process servers and continued enforcement of a “guideline” that prohibited process servers from carrying firearms in that gun friendly state. It was a guideline rather than law because the Arizona Legislature refused to sanction the rights violation. It was not a court rule since even court rules were and are subject to public debate and Arizona Supreme Court approval.
The guideline seemed somewhat enforceable since process servers were licensed at the sole desertion of the Presiding Judge. Of Course no judge is permitted to violate anyone’s Constitutional rights including the right to keep and bear arms. Arizona's own Constitution has a very strong gun rights provision.
Dann made it clear to me that he’s yank my license if I dared carry a gun for self-protection. Dann hated guns and felt nobody especially process servers should be allowed to carry them. Yes, Judge Dann was a flaming Liberal and subscribed to the party line. It wasn’t that Judge Dann was evil, but rather had an agenda he believed was for public welfare and safety.
I purposely violated the guideline because I felt it was unlawful, and placed me in danger since the people I served court orders and summons were too often angry and could carry all the deadly weapons they wanted.
I filed a lawsuit seeking to have the process server gun guideline nullified. Less than a month later while engaged in the service of an eviction notice a drunken man with a .45 1911 pistol used it to club me over the head and then tried to shoot me. In the gravest extreme I drew and fired my S&W .38 snub-nosed revolver in the darkness critically wounding my attacker. I’m probably alive today because of my insubordination.
The process server gun guideline was rather quickly retired by the Arizona Supreme Court after I was cleared of any wrongdoing in connection with that shooting.
As for Judge Dann I could sense another very real reason for his hatred of firearms. Unfortunately the judge had a very troubled son, Brian Dann who burglarized people to support his drug habit. I believed that this father felt that a gun, any gun could possibly end his son’s risky life with Arizona's pro-gun culture.
In my mind I assigned blame for Dann’s son because of his father’s Liberal ways. In hindsight it was way too simplistic. Now I know that the Drug War was so counter -productive that Brian Dann was in effect set up for a miserable life. Judge Dann has been going through a massive heartbreak for decades.
Shortly after Judge Dann retired and moved on to a Washington D.C legal think tank, Brian Dann found himself charged with triple murder in what was described as a drug deal gone wrong in Central Phoenix. Perhaps Judge Dann had a premonition that a gun would bring a tragedy to his life. Despie my dispute with Judge Dann, I have always had respect for him and do to this day.
I’m not sure just what the evidence was in that case. I do know that the man who prosecuted the case was an an incredibly evil man. Prosecutor, Kenneth Jack Peasley from Tucson loved to brag that he put more people on Arizona’s Death Row than any other prosecutor in the entire state. Just like clockwork, Peasley put Brian Dann there too. After Dann received his death sentence they finally caught up with Peasley and disbarred the bastard. Peasley was caught in the act of deliberately putting a witness he knew was committing perjury before a jury on yet another death penalty case.
Because of Peasley’s long history of prosecutorial misconduct, I’d like to see Brian Dann win a new trial since I more than suspect prosecution chicanery at the first trial. I don’t have a clue if he is innocent of the carnage that happened in that apartment but perhaps a fresh look at the evidence is in order. Afterwards, I say let the chips fall where they may.
Kenneth Jack Peasley died on September 7, 2011 of cancer. After disbarment he worked as a paralegal for defense lawyers. He is receiving his punishment where he belongs, in Hell right now!

New York—Governor Sarah Palin rocked Saturday Night Live last night. We have never had a politician with Palin’s kind of grace and charm in my lifetime. Palin is always a pleasure to watch and hear. Tucson, AZ—Police have released information about this bedtime story with a really happy ending. Two armed home invaders forced their way into a 23 year-old UofA student’s home. The student responded to the invasion by arming himself with a handgun as he quickly dispatched the two dangerous felons like bad dogs. Police were called and their preliminary investigation indicates that the student’s actions were a double justifiable homicide. The student has cooperated fully with police.

Chicago, IL—This CBS owned and operated station just fired their general Manager, Joe Ahern. That not an unusual event in the volatile times of today’s television and news business.
Ahearn is a key player in that lawsuit brought by former WMAQ-TV reporter, Amy Jacobson. Jacobson became a sordid and unnecessary news story at CBS2 while she was doing a risky undercover assignment. That story involved the year-old Lisa Stebic missing person case Jacobson was doing at NBC5. CBS2 was out-of-bounds in their salacious report and ultimately it cost Jacobson her job, home and more.
CBS2 now needs Ahearn’s full cooperation to fight Jacobson’s litigation and now that appears doubtful. It’s anyone’s guess what’s next as this all falls into the hands of the new GM, Mark "Bruno" Cohen.
Jacobson who is an award winning reporter has her own fan base. Jacobson retained a big gun litigator, filed suit and has been trying to get her life back. The litigation can go on for years.
I have the solution, I think. CBS2 should bring Jacobson into their shop, give her a three year contract as a general assignment reporter and all parties can stop killing good trees making paper for this knockdown, drag out legal fight.
I talked with Jacobson recently and she simply wants to return to Chicago’s television news. Jacobson still has her talent, ability and can hold a television audience. I know she’d trade the lawsuit for a decent chance to return to doing what she loves.
Stranger things have happened in the TV news business. Perhaps some fence mending may save a lot of money in these cash strapped times for television news. Bringing Jacobson into CBS2 will probably also help their ratings.

No folks the police can’t respond to your home as fast as those Brinks Home Security commercials would lead you to believe. In the 20 to 20 minutes you probably would be waiting for police you will have already bled to death.
More Americans than ever have gotten training and firearms to protect themselves and families. The real truth is for every justifiable homicide there are many thousands of violent crimes that are stopped cold without a shot being fired. The result is far fewer victims.
The whole UCR package shows that as justifiable homicides have slightly increased the rate of homicides drop much more significantly.
Only 254 felons killed during the commission of a violent crime in the entire United States during 2007 seems somewhat insignificant. Perhaps if this number was considerably higher the number of innocent victims murdered by predators would have declined even more.
Chicago, Il—With the highest sales taxes in the nation and astronomical parking garage taxes Chicago’s politicians have driven even their own residents to shop elsewhere.
The outrageous taxes make Chicago the place to avoid. There is little motivation for any commerce to remain inside the Windy City. Yet Chicago’s taxes are still being raised at every opportunity as services are being reduced.
Mayor Richard M. Daley along with Alderman Edward Burke has been strangling the life and blood from the city. Chicago was riding high on phony property values that are now dropping like a rock.
The tax base is evaporating and there is no end in sight. Imagine owning a loop specialty store waiting for Christmas shoppers that just refuse to accept Chicago’s taxing extortion. Depressing does not begin to describe that picture.
If the city would simply stop awarding make work contracts to politician’s campaign contributors. And begin a tax war competing to have the lowest taxes with the suburbs perhaps business and revenue would begin to return to the city.
I’m not sure what it will take to overthrow Daley, Burke and the others choking the breath out of what should be a huge thriving metropolis. Something has to give before Chicago becomes the biggest ghost town in America.
Washington, D.C.—Despite the fact that seven witness recanted their trial testimony the United States Supreme Court refused to halt a the execution of a convicted Georgia cop killer. Adding to the developments in this case new witnesses have since come forward implicating another man for the crime. The validity of the original jury verdict is under a very dark cloud.
Troy Davis, 39 was convicted of killing a Savannah policeman, Mark MacPhail back in 1989 when he was 18 years-old. Officer MacPhail was dispatched to a fight outside a Burger King drive-in when he was murdered while trying to keep the peace. The condemned man Davis was nearby but has steadfastly maintained he was not involved with the fight or murder.
I know I part company with most of my peers in the law enforcement community over my death penalty views. The real truth is if government is allowed to kill anyone than government can kill you or members of your family. We’ve seen that in the extreme repeated throughout the history of civilization. Nations become killing fields far too often.
Imagine that the politician you dislike the most becomes President and wants to punish those like you who did not support him. Killing its own citizens is a power no government can be trusted not to abuse.
Life is too sacred for us to kill anyone where there is doubt of guilt. So many people parrot that prosecutor’s word, closure as if killing who the victim's family chose to believe is a killer will somehow feel relieved once an execution is carried out. That’s never the case, instead the families of the murdered are left with memories of the anguish displayed many a condemned man’s innocent family members for the rest of their lives. There is no such thing as closure for the loved ones of a murder victim.
Killing Troy Davis under the present conditions with new facts would make this country look weak and brutal. America would be a horrible example to countries we have condemned like China, North Korea, Cuba that continue to slaughter their own citizens at an alarming rate.
Conspiracies are everywhere in our world, real and imagined. Like Barack Obama, I don’t have a clue where he was born. Obama can’t possibly remember. I claim no relations with his mother or parentage so I wasn’t there. If only Roe vs. Wade been decided a decade earlier, perhaps Barack Obama would have been discarded with the rest of the medical waste.
PA lawyer, Philip Berg says Obama’s birth certificate is a phony and used some intriguing evidence to justify his lawsuit seeking to have Obama’s name tossed from the ballot. Rather than prove citizenship Obama’s legal legions are seeking to avoid proving anything at all. We will all wait and see if this was just wishful thinking.
Okay, there is one additional piece of evidence and that’s the local newspaper’s printed birth announcement. That is somewhat convincing to me that Obama was born consistent with the offered certificate and meets that qualification.
As for Berg’s lawsuit he should get an order for discovery and if the birth certificate is real Berg will be owned by the Obama camp.
Hot Air has caused me to back off and wish Berg well. I guess it was just too good to be true…

Since the creation of data warehouses and companies collecting and selling criminal record data there has been an explosion of shoddy background investigations.
Our government under federal law closes the most accurate source of criminal records, the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) administered by our FBI to all but government agencies. Many politicians want to protect ex-convicts and sex offenders from exposure of any kind. Real criminals never confess their crimes on employment applications. Of course that allows thieves to be placed into positions of trust by unknowing employers.
Private employers have to resort to private sources in their attempts to avoid hiring criminals. The lowest bidder always gets the job. Unfortunately employers are getting what they pay for and lots of opportunities to be named in expensive lawsuits.
For the most part court records are the second most reliable way to find out about the criminals walking among us. Court records are based on the names and dates of birth provided by the criminals themselves. Often they use the names of friends, enemies or simply make something up. Often the real or legal names of arrestees are never reconciled in the court records.
On the other hand no matter what name someone uses they are given FBI numbers and numbers by the state police agencies based on their fingerprint classifications. Simply put the government can figure out just who is who among criminals.
In the civilian world we have private investigators that know how to use data and the actual court records to avoid making costly and regrettable mistakes. These mistakes land employers in courts every day.
The biggest problems come from the proliferation of unqualified and unregulated background investigators selling court data over the Internet. These Internet organizations are ignorant of the tools used by professional private detectives use to avoid mistakes that destroy reputations and careers. When the Internet outfits aren’t destroying careers they clear some of the worst criminals for dangerously sensitive positions.
Identity theft will get someone more than use of the victim's credit, it will get them a high paying job they are unqualified to hold. The Internet data resellers cannot stop that kind of activity where a licensed private detective can.
An interesting issue with the raw data obtained from courts is that it is a snapshot frozen in time. In many states the laws forgive convicted offenders and seal or expunge their convictions. Since the data snapshot does not change the convictions are still discoverable. A forgiven conviction is not a valid predictor of the offender’s future conduct.
Congress passed the Fair Credit Reporting Act that is supposed to regulate employer background investigations. The FCRA is just another government disaster.
If you want to find out about that person you want to hire, marry or trust with your assets, only hire a qualified licensed private detective to conduct that important background investigation.
We can only guess how many millions of bogus votes will be cast on November 4th. We have all heard about the mere thousands of phony registrations caught by the few beleaguered election departments inclined to ferret out vote fraud.

In the case of Acorn and their workers I hope that American patriots use the same violent tactics employed by Barack Obama’s friends at The Weather Underground to combat this terrorist organization.

Chicago, IL—To combat bullying Chicago plans to create a high school for the Gay, Lesbian and Transgender students. The goal is legitimize the long held unlawful “separate but equal” segregation inside a public school system.
I applaud the idea of a place where they kids can focus on their education without fear. Unfortunately what this really says is Chicago has surrendered to the fact that they can’t control violence in their schools.
That tells me that other kids will continue to be targets for juvenile criminals Chicago refuses to deal with. I can imagine the Gay school will also attract a number of straight students pretending to be gay just to escape extortion and sexual predators in problem schools.
This is another example of an ineffective government band aid being used to fix a hemorrhage.
