Lame Media Once Had A Captive Audience—Game Over

Washington, DC—If you didn’t have giant presses and used ink by the barrel or you did not have a broadcaster’s license and millions of dollars in equipment you could not be a legitimate press organization and influence public policy.

Specialized journalism schools to created to mold skilled news gatherers but along the way the all important Leftist indoctrination crept into to curriculum. Professors have cult leader power of young minds and that control was never wasted.

The powerful special interest folks needing to influence and shape public policy bought nearly all the news broadcast and print operations and managed to give them nearly a single unified Leftist voice. They were the keepers of political correctness and for advertisers they were the only place to reach the masses. Their power and arrogance was something to behold.

The Internet came and that all changed as both news consumers and independent journalists could write, report and consume news without the Leftist filter of editorial boards. Inexpensive computers, video cameras, and editing software changed the game forever. Raw news leaked everywhere. The ironclad hold by the broadcast networks and newspaper publishers is all but over.

Bloggers have brought the mainstream media to the soup lines. They are struggling to make a profit and continue. The laws of competition came with the internet and the monopoly the mainstream media used to enjoy evaporated.

Why would anyone want news delivered through the mainstream filter when you can have it raw? The captive audience is thankfully a thing of the past.

The Pew Research Center's Project for Excellence in Journalism just completed and published a survey of the formerly top dog news executives. It is a death knell for the mainstream media. Nearly half fully expect to fold before this decade ends. Many see it coming a lot sooner unless of course they can invent a way to recapture their audience and advertisers.

The mainstream media is so locked into their liberal unified slant when FOX NEWS offered an alternative view it stunned them. FOX has gobbled up a huge percentage of the market share. Instead of recognizing the thirst for anything but thy same old Leftist pabulum the mainstream refused to change their ways and compete in a free market. Of course they’ve never had to do that before and have little in the way of necessary skills to accomplish that.

Unless we give up free speech in America there will never be another lock on news and information again. As I say that they are staying awake at night trying to figure ways of controlling the Internet and muzzling bloggers.

Arizona Child Protection Efforts Are Sometimes Extreme

Peoria, AZ—In Arizona nearly every politician wants to zealously protect children. It’s a wise and popular position to take. Children need protection since they are helpless and often exploited or victimized.

Children are cute to say the least as they constantly entertain their parents. The moms and dads often want to capture the fun moments in family photos. It’s a cultural thing in Europe for parents to take pictures of their own children playing in the bath. Sometimes the tikes are photographed naked in the back yard or on a public beach. These family photos are not kiddie porn or somehow dirty.

Many parents feel that taking those photos is inappropriate. I guess it’s in how we view the bodies are creator gave us. Some people are guided by religious views and those views change within the same religions by location. I’m one of those that see nothing evil or dirty about nudity. There is nudity and then there is pornography. They are just not the same especially when it comes to family photo albums.

The case of Lisa and Anthony Demaree, is a frightening example of overkill. Last fall they brought in a roll of film to a Wal-Mart that contained some bath and playtime pictures of their daughters for routine developing.

When a photo clerk saw the pictures a call was made to the cops. Soon this couple's life changed forever. Arrests, jailing, horrific publicity, hiring lawyers, the state’s fostering of the children and bail bondsmen threatened the hapless couple. Conviction of exploitation of children carries the most draconian prison terms in Arizona than any other jurisdiction.

Cooler head prevailed at the Maricopa county Attorney’s office and there were no criminal charges sought. Finally after a month of foster care and intensive investigation Superior Court Judge J. Richard Gama returned the children to the parents ruling there was no bad parental conduct or danger to the children.

Now the couple is in court suing the state and other and others for the damages suffered by the family. The Arizona Attorney general is fighting the case not on the merits, but on technicalities such as failure to file a claim within six months of the catastrophic mess caused by over-reacting cops and Child Protective Service bureaucrats.

Understandably most officials would rather error on the side of protecting kids rather than leaving them at risk. But that is not a good excuse for this privacy invasion mess.

Public opinion on this case is divided along religious and cultural lines. Thankfully the law is what rules not some subjective religious or cultural opinion.

This is a case where you can count a jury disregarding the law and doing what they want in spite of the law. They will rule on the dirt or guilt in their own minds. Personal opinions will carry far more weight than the wisest legal opinion. Sometimes public opinion is dangerous and un-American.

Because of digital cameras we need not have film processed by anyone outside of our families. But then there are computer repair people with the values of Wal-mart employees checking out the contents of your hard drives. Be careful in Arizona or your life can change in a hurry.

Where Is The Explanation By Jody Weis?

Chicago, IL—Ten days ago Chicago police superintendent Jody Weis fled the scene of an in progress shooting. He and his police driver failed to check the on the safety of subordinate officers or innocent bystanders. The armed killer escaped because there were not enough police officers to seal off the area.

Weiss was caught on tape during a television interview with CBS2 reporter Kristyn Hartman as shots were ringing out. Weis gave his famous, “I gotta run!” sound bite. Run he did and at this point he should simply keep on running while not looking back.

Since that disgraceful demonstration of cowardice, Weis has been in hiding. Weis knows he was despised by the rank and file officers before that fateful Friday and now he’s been branded a coward too.

Weis now knows there is no PR magic that can save him. Weis should face reality and be a man long enough to apologize to the officers who risked their lives at that deadly scene for abandoning them. Then Weis should then submit his resignation.

The department is badly shattered and must be rebuilt. That can’t happen with all the promotions based on connections, clout and racial formula shenanigans rather than fitness for the positions.

For the rank and file cops, a fair contract, necessary manpower adjustments and proper equipment can’t be avoided any longer. The department is in an absolute crisis. The coming warm weather along with tens of thousands of idle, angry young men and freed prison convicts competing for control of the streets may bring a holocaust.

Goodbye Sandra Hutchens, You Never Belonged here

Orange County, CA—After the last Sheriff, Mike Carona was felled by corruption charges, the County Board found a replacement. The recently retired lawwoman, Sandra Hutchens seemed perfect so they appointed her.

Perfect? She spoke well and looked fine but she was and is a gun control zealot and came with the identical Liberal culture of every current Los Angeles politician.

Unlike her predecessors she refused to issue new concealed weapons permits and revoked many that were already issued. Crime had not taken a vacation on her watch so why hold down law-abiding citizens so criminals can victimize them?

Getting a concealed weapon permit requires completing a 21 page uniform California application. The CCW application form is twice as long and invasive for personal information than the employment applications required of the cops we hire. The Sheriffs have arbitrary power to deny the permits or grant them. Of course, all felony and most misdemeanor convictions are a bar to granting the permits. Demonstrated firearms and use of force training is required of all CCW permit applicants.

Carona handed out several special deputy stars to his pals. That’s never a good idea but it’s something Sheriffs have done for ages. Hutchens rounded the stars up and revoked them. Nearly every incoming Sheriff routinely does that.

Carona did a lot of things wrong except subjecting Orange County’s citizens to the Liberalism of La La Land.

Orange County does not subscribe to the extreme Liberal ways of L.A. When they hired Hutchens they were asleep at the wheel and let this woman with foreign ideology take the helm. Hutchens took the department in the wrong direction.

Hutchens spent money feathering command staff positions that showed she does things exactly like they do in Los Angeles. Spending money they don’t have is the way of life for that Socialist run city. Today there are plenty of qualified candidates that deserve consideration for the position. This time there will be an election by voters.

Hutchens has done her damage, and now it’s time for her to say goodbye.

I Have Another Great Film for My Visitors.

Los Angeles, CA—We are at a crossroads today in America. Do we take the path of Barack Obama to Marxism or stay on the course to freedom? I can’t understand why so much of our population is in denial about Obama’s Marxist infatuation. Obama is a Marxist, his friends are Marxist and everything he stands for is also Marxist. The direction he’s pushing us is most definitely Marxist.

In the late 1950's Cuba’s corrupt government was overthrown by Fidel Castro who was even worse than the deposed leader, Fulgencio Batista. Castro went into the socialist purge mode killing thousands that did not agree with Communism. The repression of every kind of thought including music was there to stay.

A young trumpet player and disciple of American jazz great, Dizzy Gillespie wanted more than that Socialist utopia would give him. The young musician wanted freedom to play the music he longed to play.

Defectors from Cuba face more than imprisonment if they flee. Their friends and families are punished by the government.

The film is from HBO and it’s called, For Love or Country, The Arturo Sandoval Story. It was made in 2000 and stars Andy Garcia, Mía Maestro and Gloria Estefan.

This great film reveals the evil of Communism but it’s also a top notch love story.

This amazing and true story is beyond inspiring. It will make Americans love the freedom and liberty we are losing so much more.

The acting and music is superb. It’s a great film and if you seen it before you will want to see it again. If you’ve not seen it, you’re in for a treat.

LAPD Names Valley Village Bloodbath Suspect

Valley Village, CA—Six men were shot and four of them have died at a shooting on April 3 at the Hot Spot Café. The men killed were identified by police as, Harut Baburyan, 28, Sarkis Karadjian, 26, Vardan Tofalyan, 31, and Hayk Yegnanyan, 25.

Now the LAPD has named their suspect as Nerses Arthur Galstyan, 28 who is also wanted along with others by the BATFE for charges of selling three firearms without a license to a paid informant.

Rumors have circulated that the shooting may be part of a dispute among Armenian gang members. Police are also looking for a connection between this shooting and the unsolved Hollywood murder of Karyn Safaryan at the apartment building where she lived.

Neighbors have describe the Hot Spot Cafe as a meeting place for shady men and hostile to potential customers who were turned away.

Police and prosecutors also disclosed that Baburyan, one of the victims, was a career criminal. He had served various prison terms for attempted auto fraud, possession of stolen property and illegal possession of a semi-automatic firearm.

Police say that Galstyan is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Adoption Remorse? Simply Return The Child

Moscow, Russia—I deal with a lot of adoption cases but I find this one incredibly painful to think about.

A seven year-old boy was put on a plane to Moscow with a note in his pocket he could not read. The note was from Torry Hansen, a woman who adopted the child and now wanted to rid herself of the challenges of motherhood. She merely dumped the kid on the plane like taking a bad dog back to the shelter.

She claimed the kid was psychotic and complained that she was misled about the boy’s mental health. She wrote, “the child is a liability.”

I’m beyond shocked at the unbelievable cruelty of this despicable act.

In life we never get more than hope that our children will be perfect and healthy in every way. Kids are born every day with handicaps, defects and disfigurements but parental love conquers nearly everything. Any real mother would have done whatever it took to deal with any and all issues the boy had.

In addition to being placed in a strange home the child must have suffered from culture shock with different food, odors and learning English. This would be a huge challenge for any seven year-old child.

If there is something good about this horror story, it’s that Torry Hansen won’t be in this unfortunate lad’s life. This experience will make raising the boy even more difficult. I don’t want to see the woman punished. I’d rather people like Hansen dump kids rather than murder them any day.

I hope some kind, childless couple can salvage this little boy’s life in a hurry. I’m sure he’s difficult, unruly and time consuming but he deserves only love, understanding and compassion.

Game Over For J-Fed

Chicago, IL—With impossible to defend allegations of cowardice, a nearly total lack of support by Chicago’s finest and the department in a management quagmire Jody Weis has little choice but to move on.

Since the cowardice allegation backed by solid videotape surfaced last Friday Weis has been in hiding. He’s not returning reporter’s calls, and has absented himself from meetings.

Weis is at the end of his three-year contract and his rope. There’s no way Weis can ever recover the respect of the rank and file officers. The leadership void is at crisis level as what looks to be a violent summer approaches.

I expect a resignation announcement at any moment.

As for Mayor Richard M. Daley he must quickly find a new superintendent that can somehow end the chaos within the department. Daley needs to pull out the stops to deal with manpower, equipment and contract issues. I can’t imagine Daley rehabilitating his act now. The City council is loaded with thugs, thieves and liars that need to be investigated, removed and imprisoned.

The victims of the mess will be the few taxpayers left that have seen their investments in the city evaporate. Even sadder will be the increase in property crimes and violence fueled by among other things wholesale prisoner releases and massive unemployment. As businesses suffer they will begin to lay of what’s left of their help and shut down altogether.

In a way Jody Weis will be lucky to have left the sinking ship. The new superintendent will inherit a disaster.

Newspapers Look More Like TV Every Day—Not Quite

Los Angeles, CA—All forms of news publishing is endangered as revenue is widely spread between all the new competition. Gone are the big budgets to cover stories.

Newspapers have quietly sent reporters out with new inexpensive but high quality digital video cameras to gather news. Since nearly everyone connected to the Internet via broadband connections video is feasible.

The tradeoff is the newspaper reporters are only chosen for their newsgathering and writing ability rather than being attractive and having pleasing voices. Newspaper reporters are dramatically less stylish in their manner of dress since their images are rarely been broadcast.

The video work produced by newspapers has been pretty much reduced to interviews with newsmakers and video of events. The vanity stand ups and teleprompter news reading has not been part of the changes until recently.

Okay I have a thing for those hot, leggy blond babes on FOX NEWS. They are quite the distraction. Somehow a magic filter they have makes all news good news when reported by those foxes at FOX.

This guy from the L.A. Times ain’t pretty and he talks funny but there is nothing wrong with the information he’s passing along to their web visitors.

Obama’s Socialist Revolution Threatens Freedom

Washington, DC—Barack Obama is not missing a stroke in his stride to destroy the United States Constitution, freedom and liberty. The Great Divider is doing absolutely everything to align this country with those countries that embrace Socialism and terror. That as the traitor is destroying America’s military defense mechanism and protection.

We are at a crossroads in America unseen since the Civil War and we must choose the side we will fight on. Fight we will. As we begin a period of civil unrest as the major cities collapse under impossible entitlement programs, full scale war can’t be far behind.

A full half of our population is now enslaved to the other. That is an intolerable divide.

Thankfully most members of our police and military will follow their oaths of office and not wage war on fellow Americans. There can be no doubt that Obama will seek aid and help from United Nations and troops from Socialist countries to complete his revolution.

No matter what history demonstrates people learn nothing from the lessons since the beginning of humanity. The Socialist, control freaks must be stopped or we will be murdered or forced into additional slavery. The Tea Party people have done nothing to even slow down the tyranny.

The Boston Tea Party was anything but peaceful demonstration. The Tea Part was Treason against the Crown and involved the violent seizure and destruction of the King’s property. Today's Tea Party represents a hollow threat to the enemies of our Constitution. They need to expand their resistance efforts dramatically or have no effect at all.

Americans have no choice but to step up their voices, anger and actions to stop the revolution while they can. We must make being a Communist or Socialist in America very risky business.

Fabulous Cancun Vacation Ends In Murder

Cancun, Mexico—If you’ve got the money the Moon Palace resort is the place to get your batteries recharged. Great rooms, wonderful service and incredible entertainment filled nights are on the program.

That's just where TV producer, Bruce Beresford-Redman (Survivor and Pimp My Ride) and his wife, Monica Beresford-Redman went to enjoy life to the fullest.

Now we’ve learned that Monica Beresford-Redman was first reported missing by her husband and was later found in a nearby gutter murdered. Reportedly there is a witness to an argument by the couple before the victim went missing. An argument is hardly evidence of a domestic murder.

Police have detained Bruce Beresford-Redman for questioning as a suspect. Reports indicate he had scratch marks on his body. The cause of death is pending an autopsy but police believe she was strangled by her attacker. The Attorney General's Office in the State of Quintana Roo will determine what if any charges will be brought.

Considering recent threats against Americans related to the Drug War we can’t rule out terrorism. Routine murders do happen and spouses and lovers are always the first to be closely examined by investigators.

Mexico’s investigative prowess has never been anything more than disastrous. The Mexican criminal justice system does not include the Bill of Rights Americans always take for granite. I’d say there is a need for top investigative talent to rule suspects in or out and a well paid lawyer to find the truth.

Update: Bruce Beresford-Redman was released from custody pending further investigation. He’s been ordered not to leave the jurisdiction while Mexican authorities fully investigate the apparent murder. Let’s hope justice is properly served. Remember not every murder can be solved.

The Amy Jacobson Radio Show Investigates allegations of Cowardice

WIND-AM 560--Thursday 8:30 AM

Chicago, IL—The story of Chicago police superintendent Jody Weis public relations nightmare has gone viral. His now famous “gotta go” video is making the rounds to law enforcement officers all over the country.

Amy Jacobson will have retired police sergeant John Northen and the mystery detective behind the Shaved “L.C.” Blog site as guests. I’ve been asked to call it too. It should be an interesting drive time radio show.

Instead of dealing with the official complaint made by John Northen, Weis has apparently gone into hiding. He’s sent his PR flaks out to smear Northern for once suing the department over the selection process for lieutenants. One called the complaint absurd.

We have yet to hear from Weis himself. Weis has yet to surface and tell us about what was so pressing that he could not assist fellow officers and endangered members of the public at the scene of an in-progress fatal shooting.

Weis can never recover from this cowardice allegation without a really convincing excuse. He’s had over five days to dream something up and seems stumped. There is little choice but for him to do what he promised and that was leave is he fails to maintain the support of rank and file officers. That time has come and gone, so perhaps Weis will simply say goodbye. Weis is just too radio-active and toxic to continue as the superintendent of Chicago police.

We will be all ears!

Update: Weis abruptly cancelled the meeting he had planned for today at the Budlong Woods Library on North Lincoln Avenue. This is yet another solid sign of the end of his reign. Who will Daley appoint now?

Where Chicago’s J-Fed Went Wrong

Chicago, IL—Jody Weis was never cut out to be the Chicago Police Superintendent; he was never properly trained or equipped for the job. At least the job he thought he was filling.

Weis was a civilian and should have never tried to be a cop. For Weis putting on the gun, star and uniform was something of an impersonation. He’d never done that before and that was no small part of his downfall.

Weis was with the FBI. The FBI does have police powers but they are never first responders to the mayhem of large violent cities. The FBI investigates federal crimes and they search for certain federal fugitives. The FBI mission has little to do with police work and making the transition from what they do to what big city street cops do is huge.

Weiss somehow thought he could simply put on the uniform and parade around like a real policeman. Unlike FBI agents, Chicago cops learn to experience fear early in their careers. Imagine being a young White cop handling routine ghetto calls on the midnights.

The radio assigns you to handle a simple traffic accident and as you try to arrive quietly there is a dispute between the drivers and the inhabitants of the nearby buildings empty out in the street surrounding you. You are the only White face in the sea of hundreds and none of them are fond of the police.

You have no choice but to never let the crowd smell your fear, while putting on your best game face. You write your report, cite the driver at fault and go on to the next job. Either you can cut it or not. Only special people can learn to deal with that kind of work environment.

Weis should have taken the job as a civilian and stayed out of the neighborhoods except to attend funerals or parades. Sticking to administrative duties may have allowed him to survive. A dignified business suit instead of the super-hero, top-cop garb would have saved him from a lot of pain.

The last civilian superintendent was the late, O.W. Wilson. Wilson was an educator and criminologist who served for a while as an Alameda County Deputy Sheriff early in life. Wilson was one of the better superintendents.

Under Wilson nobody was hired or promoted without demonstrating their ability and skill through a civil Service test. Either you demonstrated that you were properly educated and capable or you did not get the job.

Wilson never came off as a pretender, but he did bring reform, better training and equipment to the rank and file. In three short years the police pay was more than doubled. He redesigned and greatly improved the police communications system. He brought police professionalism and before he left he separated the real police from similarly dressed security guards with the trademark checkerboard field cap.

Through the dictates of minority leaders, politicians and fools all hiring and promotions are now purely subjective choices. Uniquely unqualified imbeciles and jerks were appointed, put in charge and the Civil Service system was retired. This was the recipe for disaster.

I got a question from a long time reporter friend asking me what Phil Cline would have done had he been out at a similar press conference as Weis was Friday. That was a great question. Phil Cline was hardly a great police administrator but first and foremost he was a real cop. As fat, as Cline was he’d have waddled over to the scene with gun in hand and never left until his fellow officers and the bystanders were safe.

Jody Weis ran because he thought nobody would notice. Weis was dead wrong. Weis was caught and publically disgraced. Weis ill never recover from the permanent coward’s stain and should leave while he can still enjoy his pension checks before things get worse.

Chicago’s law enforcement will be ineffective and dangerous until there is a police superintendent given the real power to reform the department. A fair Civil Service system must be restored and along with adequate manpower and equipment must be provided.

Police need to be taken off of tax collection duty and placed in their rightful position as guardians protecting and serving the law-abiding.

Reasonable self-defense rights need to be restored to law-abiding Chicagoans and the unintended protection of thugs, rapists and killers must end. That means the rights of the law-abiding to keep and yes, carry guns must be returned.

These things will never happen under the corrupt Daley/Burke crime Families and Chicago’s current Aldermen.

Internet Brings Sunshine To Chicago’s Dark Side

Chicago, IL—Yes, Chicago’s local media has been in the pocket of the Daley/Burke Crime Families for a very long time. They’ve killed story after story about corruption whenever they could.

Now there is the Internet with its bloggers and keeping those dirty secrets has become a real challenge.

The allegation of Cowardice by Chicago police superintendent, Jody Weis would have never seen the light of day in the past. It would have circulated as an unsubstantiated rumor throughout the department. The allegation itself would have gotten a City Hall whitewash job and the media would have avoided mentioning it like a viral infection.

Retired Chicago police sergeant, John Northern became aware of the Weis’ conduct and how he left the scene of an in progress homicide and made a formal complaint. This kind of complaint is as serious as any since it did involve a killing and and immediate public safety action.

A complaint of that nature is indeed hard news that deserves proper investigation and coverage by anyone who dare call himself a journalist. I’m now aware less than 24hours earlier officers made calls to the local TV news organizations and were politely blown off by assignment desk people, producers and reporters. They said it was a non-story and some claimed it never happened.

The story was backed up with the broadcast video of the CBS2 interview where Weis, gave his now famous quote, “I’ve gotta run!” I’m personally aware that CBS2 sought clarification from Weis all weekend. Weis refused to surface and explain where and why he had to run. I posted the significant portion that CBS2 interview conducted by Kristyn Hartman and it speaks for itself.

Thankfully, Hartman did not shirk her duty to cover the non-stop bloodbath in the Englewood district. Weis also should have used a little class to suggest that Hartman and her photographer leave the area for their own safety.

That CBS2 interview clip and reports from fellow officers that called for backup at the shooting scene show that Weis never appeared. This is solid evidence of Weis’ abject cowardice.

That changed when the department’s media flack responded the Sun Times. They quickly spoke for Weis calling the allegations absurd. The Sun Times then informed their readers of the complaint and its ramifications. Had it not been for the police bloggers this story of miserable cowardice may have never seen the light of day.

I only hope that the massive extortion and bribery racket that is the City of Chicago government can get its moment in the sun too. The people of Chicago deserve better than to watch their hard earned tax payments used only to generated re-election campaigns through un-needed public works projects instead of vital city services.

Coward Caught On Tape?

Chicago, IL—There was a non-stop Ghetto-Bloodbath On Friday. There were scores of cops, members of the media and shots were ringing out in the immediate neighborhood. Officers were calling for assistance to deal with yet another fatal shooting.

Only seconds away from this in progress shooting was the sworn, armed superintendent of Chicago police, Jody Weis getting some face time with the lovely Kristyn Hartman of CBS 2 News.

When he became aware of the dire emergency his words to Hartman said it all, “I gotta run!” Run he did, but away from the fellow officers and citizens that were in dire need of help?

We are all waiting to find out just where Weis ran…

Demjanjuk War Crimes Show Trial Is Never Ending Saga

Munich, Germany—After months of prosecuting, John Demjanjuk who stands accused of being a Sobibor death camp guard there’s little to show for the effort. So far no living witness has been produced to place the retired Cleveland auto worker at the camp.

Witnesses have testified that Ukrainians like Demjanjuk were forced to serve the Nazi’s under the threat of execution if they refused. That’s hardly evidence that Demjanjuk had done anything wrong at all.

The “smoking gun” evidence is an identity card. Another identity card produced by agents of the U.S. Office of Special Investigations seemed to show that Demjanjuk was the notorious, Ivan the Terrible at yet another camp. That card was later proven to be a total forgery during Demjanjuk’s appeal from an Israeli death sentence. Demjanjuk was cleared of that allegation.




Demjanjuk is accused of being an accessory to the murders of nearly 28,000 people confined at Sobibor.

This trial seems to be a German government effort of post World War Two Holocaust cleansing. They simply don’t want to appear unwilling to aggressively and passionately pursue war criminals. War crime accusations are not trivial offenses.

Now prosecutors say that they can’t wrap up their case until mid September. Demjanjuk, 89 has been appearing in court from a hospital bed because the elderly defendant is very weak and ill.

In the end I don’t expect prosecutors will be able to produce enough evidence to sustain a conviction.

I’d like nothing better than to cover and report on this trial in person or be aiding the defense team. It would be a great way to spend my summer.

Chicago Police Superintendent Accused Of Cowardice!

Chicago,IL—According to a report published today by secondcityccop.blogspot.com Chicago police Superintendent Jody P. Weis has been accused by a retired homicide sergeant, John Northen of cowardice and inattention to duty.

Weis was out with police patrolling in the 007 Englewood district where shooting broke out. Instead of Weis, a sworn armed officer responding and aiding his fellow officers he fled the area.

A complaint was formally made and must be investigated. I can’t imagine any Chicago policemen surviving a similar complaint without being suspended for 30 days pending separation for this kind of offense. If the complaint allegations are accurate Weis needs to be removed for such disgraceful disregard for his fellow officers and Chicago’s citizen’s safety.

Re: My complaint (C.R. No. 1,035,137) filed with IPRA on Saturday, April 3 charging Jody P. Weis with COWARDICE and inattention to duty.

My name is John Northen. While I am now retired, I proudly served the Chicago Police Department for thirty years. Local media has asked me to give a statement on my complaint alleging COWARDICE and inattention to duty versus the current "leader" of the Chicago Police Department (CPD), Jody P. WEIS. I treasure my privacy. I will NOT appear on any television program.

Police morale is nonexistent. Certainly, local media can't be naive or disingenuous enough to believe that active police officers are going to jeopardize their livelihoods by criticizing the management and operations of the CPD on matters of public concern. Despite the protections of the First Amendment, pretextual retaliation would be inevitable.

Aside from a cluster of sycophants within the upper echelon of the force who are beneficiaries of political CLOUT, Mr. Weis is perceived by subordinates as a shameless and clueless liar--and that was before Good Friday in Englewood. It appears that the media adamantly and inexplicably refuses to challenge this poseur. Even among those in upper management, an understandably silent majority consider Mr. Weis as an abysmal failure as "top cop" in the nation's second largest police department.

In both the armed forces as well as law enforcement, a COWARD is regarded as most despicable. Jody P. Weis is a COWARD.

Before summarizing the cowardice displayed by Mr. Weis on Good Friday, an explanation is in order.

By definition, good street cops must go "where angels fear to tread". When that radio transmission of "a man with a shotgun", "shots fired", "a man shot" , a "robbery-in-progress" or a Ten-1 [police officer(s) calling for help] comes over the air, we roll with flashing lights and siren. A inner sense of fear and the pumping adrenaline makes us most cautious. Notwithstanding, it's what we do.

With videotape documentation, Mr. Weis was having an anti-violence "rally" near 6600 S. Marshfield Ave. last Friday. Afterwards, he agreed to be interviewed by WBBM-TV news reporter Kristyn Hartman. Then, in the background, the listener hears sirens wailing. A "handler" approaches Weis interrupting the interview with Ms. Hartman, Mr. Weis declaring that he's "gotta run".

Less than a minute away, police are responding to a call of a man shot (who subsequently expired) near 7000 S. Paulina St.--a HOMICIDE. So while the lives of citizens and responding officers are at stake, Mr. Weis has "gotta run"--THE OTHER WAY! Jody P. WEIS is a COWARD!

A year ago, after nearly 3,000 police marched in a "no confidence" demonstration around City Hall, Mr. Weis was quoted in local media: "If I...saw that I was the cause of (poor) morale in this department, no one would have to ask me to leave. I would leave on my own." He later even implemented a "morale survey" of the CPD. However, disclosure of the results have been suppressed from the CPD rank and file, the media and the taxpayers.

Deeply entrenched political interference ("CLOUT"), nepotism and cronyism have been perpetuated by Mr. Weis since his arrival in March, 2008. I spoke with Mr. Weis once in a long-distance phone conversation in early December, 2007 in his last days as the Special Agent in Charge (SAC-FBI) in the Philadelphia office. With enthusiasm, I emphasized the urgent and desperate need for reforms within the CPD assuming that an "outsider" could finally make it happen. Later, after he assumed the position of Superintendent, I made further attempts to contact and/or meet with him to offer constructive criticism. I never received a response.

There is no place in the Chicago Police Department for COWARDS who abandon their fellow officers and cut and run from danger. This fact is exponentially unconscionable in the so-called leader of the CPD. He is a disgrace to "Chicago's Finest", some of whom have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Four Dead, Two Critically Wounded In Valley Village Restaurant Shooting

Valley Village, CA—In a Mediterranean restaurant called the Hot Spot Café, six men were gunned down around 5:00 PM Saturday. LAPD officers from the North Hollywood Division are investigating and so far not offered a motive for the carnage. Rumors are circulating that this was a dispute between rival Armenian gangs.

Four of the men have died from their wounds and the other two are in critical condition at this hour. Police are looking for a heavyset white or Armenian man in his 30s who reportedly fled in an automobile.

There will be a lot more to this story and I will post it as it develops.

Chicago’s Orgy Of African-American Violence Continues

Chicago, IL—Genocide is the word of the day in the Windy City. In the past couple of days there have been scores of shootings. The numbers are still coming in at this hour. The violence as usual is contained in the African-American communities.

A severe shortage of police officers, the wholesale release of prison convicts and some unseasonably nice weather contributed to condition for the perfect storm of violence. Then there is the reality of the city’s gun ban that criminalizes self-defense and protects homicidal thugs as they turn my home town into a killing field.

The terror that Blacks have been unleashing upon Blacks makes the deeds of the Ku Klux Klan, look pale by comparison.

The real problem is that the city administration has taxed the productive and law-abiding residents into flight away from Chicago’s Socialist Utopia. What’s left is a population whose way of life is total dependence on government. They’ve been robbed of hope, dreams and self-reliance by their own Leftist politicians that conspire to keep them dependent. These politicians can’t exist without poverty and ignorance.

There can be no cure without dismantling the Chicago notoriously corrupt political machine and replacing it with leaders that will end cash handouts for those physically capable of working or going to school. The schools need provide structure, discipline and real educational opportunities for students. Right now the Chicago Board of Education provides warehouse space for uninspiring and incapable teachers along with children under the influence of drugged out welfare mothers.

Until government can rid itself of extra circular government nanny functions better served by charities, the way of life intended by our founders for curing our social problems is impossible.

For productive and taxpaying Chicagoans there is only one way to survive. You must unload all investment in this once great city and move almost anywhere else. You need not live in a community where you’re been left defenseless, taxed and fined into abject poverty. It may be time to do as I did and make a final vote against a corrupt Socialist city government with your feet.
