Poll watchers, law enforcement and best intentions can never stop fraud in Chicago’s or other big city African-American precincts. Here’s how it works: Democratic Precinct Captains run the precinct polling places. They live in the precinct and know everyone. They register everyone to vote regardless of felony convictions, age or mental ability. Often the voter does not even know he or she’s registered. The rolls of voters also include people who never even existed! To insure fair elections the law requires judges to be appointed in every precinct. In Chicago’s African-American precincts there are few Republicans to appoint. Democrats are recruited to switch parties and take these paid positions. You don’t hear much about that outrageous Mccain-Feingold Campaign Finance Law violating free speech anymore. The law barred things like disclosing incumbent’s voting records within 60 days of an election. What’s with that bogus provision? Thanks to the likes of millions of YouTube posters, and of course bloggers the Internet has castrated that trash legislation for good. Good and bad information about our politicians has been like a tidal wave. The incumbent protection built into that law has evaporated thanks to technology.

They’ve put on a show in Iraq with a total circus they are calling a trial. They are surely going to hang that old tyrant in a symbolic gesture. Time is apparently running out for a Black Panther terrorist and fugitive who shot Chicago police officer, Terrence Knox and partially paralyzed him for life. Parnell may yet be returned to face justice in a Cook County Criminal courtroom. The fugitive, Joseph Parnell was also a wanted deserter from the Army when he shot Officer Knox during a routine street stop in 1969. After his arrest Pannell posted bail and fled to Canada where he stayed underground until his arrest in 2004. Pannel has been in a Canadian jail fighting his return to Chicago and a well earned stretch in an Illinois penitentiary. Many readers here know that I’m somewhat benevolent about people located and arrested decades after their crimes. What makes this case different is that the Black Panthers were created and dedicated for the mission of killing White cops. Okay that’s a really broad statement. Let me suggest what I really mean here. We have 22,000 gun laws that really only impact law-abiding folks that need and deserve protection. For most criminals violating gun laws, the charges are generally just add-ons that are always plea-bargained away. Criminals lose little or nothing at all when they violate gun laws. The typical law-abiding gun offender simply gives the protection of himself and family greater respect and status then the politicians who pass and promote un-Constitutional gun laws. Should a law-abiding person be convicted of a simple gun possession or carry violation it will have great impact on gainful employment and many business licenses. The Orange County District Attorney has filed charges against the rapper who’s true name is Calvin Broadus. That led to the issuance of a felony warrant for possession of a deadly weapon. The violation carries a three-year prison term. It was September 27th when a TSA worker found a 21” collapsible baton in Snoop’s laptop computer case. The TSA has the power to levy a monetary civil penalty up to $10,000.00, which I’m sure they have already done for having the baton in the TSA’s frisk and fondle checkpoint of the airport. I’ll begin with the unavoidable truth that Americans have the right to keep and bear arms. The courts have fallen down on their job protecting our rights and as a result the nations criminals have the upper hand. I went to a Halloween party thrown by my agent last night. It was at actor Johnny Depp’s Viper Room in Hollywood on Sunset Blvd. It was an anniversary of River Phoenix ’s slide into the hereafter at age 23. On the sidewalk where he fell and died there was a makeshift memorial celebrating the really dumb event. The lad died a drug overdose of heroin and cocaine (speedball). The autopsy also revealed traces of cough syrup, and cannabis in his blood. River Phoenix joined an ever growing list of promising entertainers who have checked out due to drug use. Joaquín Phoenix was River’s younger brother who has enjoyed a fabulous career sans the drug issues. Inside the Viper Room were 100 or so young and beautiful actors who can only hope to get the life River Phoenix wasted. Of course your not so young or beautiful Vlogmeister was there flirting with all the young babes.

One cop was shot and lost a middle finger in the furious gunfight that witnesses say involved as many as 50 gunshots. Two ghetto rats lay dead and a third is in critical condition in the aftermath of a failed gang hit plot on a rival. Three gang members from the, “New Breed” were in route to murder a rival gang member. Our three tough guys were under surveillance for their suspected involvement in several recent West side killings. Apparently the officers learned of the intentions through wiretapped conversations. As the trio approached Humbolt Park on Kedzie Avenue, the officers made a stop on the vehicle and the heavily armed occupants. Okay sometimes I’m a morbid guy and want to do the unusual. Saturday was the day to visit some dead celebrities at the Westwood Memorial Park located between Beverly Hills and Santa Monica. This was a tiny and obscure cemetery until baseball great Joe DiMaggio planted his ex-wife, 36 year-old Marilyn Monroe in a crypt there. Today, Westwood Memorial park has more stars per square foot than any cemetery in the world. They let tourists in with cameras and I of course brought in my video camera and tripod and was having a ball until an official with the park threw me, and the camera out when I was at Chicago’s very own, singer Minnie Riperton’s grave. California somehow manages to keep even the most vital government records secret from public view. Requesting records to facilitate investigation of fraud and waste in state or local government is an exercise in futility. Bureaucrats and politicians can easily hide their misdeeds under California’s records laws. California’s records laws, offers nearly total privacy for criminals by hiding previous criminal convictions from public view. It makes it nearly impossible to determine the effectiveness of judicial and penal actions on criminals when the records are hidden from view. I first became aware of this sacred monument when I was a teenager. It was located on the Randolph Street Bridge over the Kennedy expressway. In the days of the Yippies, Hippies and Weathermen (1968-1970) it became a bombing target and was blown up and rebuilt twice. Rather than continue with 24/7 guarding of this site, the statue was moved to headquarters and later to the new police academy at 1300 West Jackson Street. It’s been out of the public’s sight for decades. It was a horrible day May 4, 1886 when anarchists murdered eight Chicago police officers. The offenders shot at the officers and threw a bomb during a labor riot. Blood ran in the streets and before it was over 70 people were killed or wounded. Maywood, IL-Last night a 37 year-old patrol officer was shot to death while sitting in his marked K-9 vehicle. Officer Thomas Woods was pronounced dead at Loyola University Medical Center before midnight. Officer Woods, leaves his wife and five children. The K-9 was uninjured in the shooting. My long time friend and reporter Kristyn Hartman tells the story for WBBM-TV in Chicago.

Flying commercial aircraft these days is even far less fun then you thought. A little known fact is that should you bring your toothpaste or lip gloss in your carry on luggage and are discovered with that contraband the TSA can arbitrarily fine you for some really vague violations. Those fines are triggered if you act offended when the TSA trolls confiscate your property from you. The power of the TSA has gone way too far. Chicago area private eye, Ernie Rizzo was a unique character. He began his career as a Franklin Park, Illinois cop. One day they fired him but he sued the village and won reinstatement with back pay. The department hated that and rather then let him work they assigned and paid him to stay at his home and actually checked to make sure he was there. That went on for a while until he opened his detective agency. Rizzo hung around another Chicago area PI, Tony Pellicano who is now awaiting trial for wiretapping and racketeering allegations after doing time for possession of a hand grenade and C-4 explosives in L.A. Rizzo and Pellicano pretended to be rivals at times when they were really collaborators. Rizzo is no stranger to wiretapping and took a fall for it a while back.
