Landsthul, Germany—None of us can ever imagine a young
released, prisoner of war not being greeted by family members at this venerable
medical institution after a five-year enemy confinement. This seems beyond unusual and to me is more
than a clue that Bowe Bergdhal is actually in a high security setting and obviously
under arrest.
Our military would routinely bring a soldier's stateside family here
and lodge them so they could greet a former captive. Military medical professionals would insist
on this for the health and well being of any soldier. Moreover, it’s obvious that Bergdhal is
being held incommunicado. This departure by the military from normal procedure
screams out, that Barack Obama has seriously misled us.
There’s ample evidence that Bowe Bergdhal deserted the Army,
seeking to join the Taliban. Americans then
gave their lives trying to help this wayward lad back to reality and the unit he
deserted. We don’t seem to know much
about what went on over the last five years other than some propaganda videos
posted by the Taliban.
I don’t give a rat’s ass what Obama thinks he’s been in
control of but the people calling the shots here is our own military. They have ample probable cause to hold
Bergdhal for a multitude of the most serious charges under the Uniform Code of
Military Justice.
I suspect that the Army may have taken punitive action much to
the chagrin of Obama. Ultimately Obama
can intervene and even pardon Bergdhal but how outrageous and embarrassing that
would be!
Bargdhal’s father is most obviously a Koran toting Muslim who
seems to be more concerned and loyal to the “people” Afghanistan than the
USA. His own comments have been strange
to say the least.
Will Obama still try and claim that Bergdhal was really worth
the illegal and extraordinary prisoner trade of five senior enemy
combatants?
What I see is that Obama is now in a huge stalemate with the
Military and American people over the disposition of Bergdhal.
Obama’s actions here were and are totally against the
interests of the American people and violated the law. Impeachment and prosecution of Obama seems well
within reach.
I can’t imagine Susan Rice’s outlandish claim that Bergdhal,
“Served with honor and distinction.” This will definitely be one of those stories
that will keep on giving.
This whole picture has an odor that even ardent Democrats
don’t like. Stay tuned folks; this is a
story that is of historic importance. This
is destined to be Obama’s Swan Song.
Los Angeles, CA—Yes, our tax dollars paid and will continue
to pay for undeserved honors for a dead TSA screener.
On November 1, 2013 suicidal gunman Paul Anthony Ciancia opened
fire at Terminal 3 at LAXAirport killing TSA screener Gerardo Hernandez. Hernandez was not a law enforcement officer,
first responder or soldier. He did not
deliberately place himself in harms way for others. He was like thousands of other unfortunate
killed in the world, simply an ordinary murder victim.
The TSA security theater façade includes some 50,000 people
without significant background checks, law enforcement training, arrest powers
or firearms. Dressed in police costumes
these workers simply screen passengers that are fully aware they will along
with their belongings be searched prior to boarding commercial aircraft. This is not a dangerous job like being a cop,
convenience store clerk or cab driver.
I have recoiled in disgust every time I heard a politician or news reporter say thatHernandez, "died in the line of duty." That's never applied to some murdered 7-11 clerk working nights to feed his or her family. The TSA police costumes seem to have left a false impression.
I'd put TSA workers in simple red jumpsuits saving taxpayers untold millions. They gave these people gold police type badges too?
Being a TSA screener is even safer than being a flight
attendant, pilot or gate ticket agent.
LAX is the world’s fourth busiest airport moving nearly 40
million people every year. It has its
own police department and is supported by numerous additional local, state and
federal law enforcement agencies. The TSA is nothing more than a pathetic
illusion of security that insults, provokes and demeans passengers. The TSA program is also in direct conflict
with the Fourth Amendment to our Constitution.
Since the beginning of the TSA more than a decade ago no
other worker lost his or her life while working. Our government window washers, garbage men or
postal service workers have a higher mortality rate from job dangers than the
TSA.
When non-first responding government workers are killed on
the job we don’t place flags at half-staff or hold government sponsored memorial
demonstrations reserved for soldiers, cops or firemen killed in the line of
duty. Why are they going whole hog for a TSA screener?
The full government honors given to Hernandez dilute the
distinctions reserved for heroes. I
don’t mean disrespect for Hernandez or his family but being a murder victim does
not confer special honor like heroism.
The TSA is an organization created to unlawfully trade
liberty and privacy for unobtainable security. As a nation too many of us has
allowed our government to convince us to forfeit our freedom for TSA
fascism.
If anything the attack at LAX showed it’s beyond impossible
to protect our airports and passengers by creating a totally screened Gun Free
Zone! This program was an abject
failure.
The TSA was nothing more than a massive government jobs
program for our unemployable, aimless and ignorant underachievers.
When it comes to government regulation of our skies and
airports the inmates are clearly in charge of the asylum.
This deadly attack by a lone suicidal gunman who easily
breached this secured airport terminal while having his way was absolutely
predictable. Thankfully the gunman
avoided shooting innocent passengers while targeting TSA screeners. That’s why scores or passengers were not
killed.
Try to imagine what just three trained and determined
terrorists could have done. They would
have owned Terminal 3, its passengers, employees and planes. The carnage would have been extensive long
before law enforcement could have ended such a siege.
If you still think that the TSA somehow helps prevent
terrorism you are living in OZ. The
responsibility to defeat terrorism lies within all of us to physically do what
we can to prevent it. Disarming off duty or retired cops, pilots, and trained
security professionals is a sure way to insure that terrorists will always win.
Few people are aware that on September 11, 2001 two of the
hijacked planes contained off duty cops that were disarmed by insane FAA
regulations that are still mirrored by the TSA.
Had those officer been armed those two planes would have quickly removed
from danger.
Had the airline pilots been routinely trained and armed Sept
11 would have been just another day.
Even today the revised armed, Federal Flight Deck Officer program is a
paper tiger since the pilots can’t carry their firearms outside the locked
cockpit.
I’m beyond shocked to see the TSA union and some politicians
seeking to arm untrained and un-vetted TSA screeners before off-duty, retired
cops and our pilots.
Chicago, IL—This is the new rage among Chicago’s African-American Ghetto Rats. They meet in a large group, enter designer stores on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile and strong-arm the clerks for their merchandise.
Terrorism you say? You bet, but the businesses are not without blame since most of the corporate owners don’t believe in having armed security to protect their employees and customers.
It’s a matter of time until some clerk or customer is murdered of left brain-dead by these hateful opportunists.
The stores rely on security cameras to be their salvation. The cameras are great but without eye-witness testimony the camera is nothing but inadmissible hearsay evidence in our courts. Most people don’t seem to know that. The only hope is police show dumb criminals the videos and they confess thinking the video is somehow absolute proof of their guilt.
The cure for the flash mobs is a strong equally or greater violent response. Strong-arm robbery with multiple offenders or where there is simply a disparity of force can be stopped by deadly force. Yes, you can shoot the thugs in the face.
These flash mobs offer a challenge since they capitalize on the laws we have barring exclusion of protected minorities from businesses, at least until they breach the peace. The stores are compelled to let them in but when they don’t use necessary force to apprehend or stop the thugs only invites them to return to victimize even more.
Chicago police don’t have the manpower or the support of this city’s political leadership to deal with the problem. Too many of Chicago’s Aldermen are as lawless and immoral as the flash mob thugs. They are already equating this crime as “Robin Hood wealth redistribution” taking from the rich to give to the poor.
Today’s Ghetto Rat thugs have cell-phones and great transportation to travel around and commit these kinds of crimes. The businesses can either deal harshly with the thugs or simply go out of business. The quality of life in the Windy City has remarkably fallen as Ghetto Rat tolerance and poor police service has fed on itself.
I only see an increase in this and all forms of Black on White crime in Chicago. I wish I could offer some easy solution but White flight is what follows this in American history. Today the suburbs can no longer be a refuge. Government’s social engineers have sent Chicago’s Ghetto Rats to newly acquired Section Eight housing in virtually every suburb.
The real solution is to stop running and start fighting. Courts, prosecutors and police have to redirect their efforts and resources away from the Drug War and victimless crime. The only real answer is to put thugs in jail for keeps.
Tacoma, WA—The Forza Coffee Shop near McChord Air Force Base was the scene of cowardly attack where at least two Male, Black suspects opened fire and killed four Lakewood police officers who were working on their lap tops and having coffee prior to reporting for duty around 8:30 AM.
At least one of the dead Lakewood officers is a woman.
The suspect/s fled and Pierce County Sheriff’s deputys have taken jurisdiction of the crime scene.
A manhunt for the killers is underway and a $10,00 reward for information leading to the suspects was immediately offered. People with information should contact authorities at 253-591-5959.
Update: Police now believe there was only one gunman. They are looking for a career criminal and mental defective but are not yet calling him a suspect. They also beliebe that the gunman may have been wounded by the return fire of one of the dead officers.
Maurice Clemmons, man wanted for questioning, has long criminal history By Seattle Times staff
Maurice Clemmons, the 37-year-old Tacoma man being sought for questioning in the killing of four Lakewood police officers this morning, has a long criminal record punctuated by violence, erratic behavior and concerns about his mental health.
Nine years ago, then-Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee granted clemency to Clemmons, commuting his lengthy prison sentence over the protests of prosecutors.
"This is the day I've been dreading for a long time," Larry Jegley, prosecuting attorney for Arkansas' Pulaski County said Sunday night when informed that Clemmons was being sought in connection to the killings.
Clemmons' criminal history includes at least five felony convictions in Arkansas and at least eight felony charges in Washington. The record also stands out for the number of times he has been released from custody despite questions about the danger he posed.
Clemmons had been in jail in Pierce County for the past several months on a pending charge of second-degree rape of a child.
He was released from custody just six days ago, even though he was wanted on a fugitive warrant out of Arkansas and was staring at eight felony charges in all out of Washington state.
Clemmons posted $15,000 with a Chehalis company called Jail Sucks Bail Bonds. The bondsman, in turn, put up $150,000, securing Clemmons' release on the pending child-rape charge.
Clemmons lives in Tacoma, where he has run a landscaping and power-washing business out of his house, according to a police interview with his wife earlier this year.
He was married, but the relationship was tumultuous, with accounts of his unpredictable behavior leading to at least two confrontations with police earlier this year.
During the confrontation in May, Clemmons punched a sheriff's deputy in the face, according to court records. As part of that incident, he was charged with seven counts of assault and malicious mischief.
In another instance, Clemmons was accused of gathering his wife and young relatives around at 3 or 4 in the morning and having them all undress. He told them that families need to "be naked for at least 5 minutes on Sunday," a Pierce County sheriff's report says.
"The whole time Clemmons kept saying things like trust him, the world is going to end soon, and that he was Jesus," the report says.
As part of the child-rape investigation, the sheriff's office interviewed Clemmons' sister in May. She told them that "Maurice is not in his right mind and did not know how he could react when contacted by Law Enforcement," a sheriff's report says.
"She stated that he was saying that the secret service was coming to get him because he had written a letter to the President. She stated his behavior has become unpredictable and erratic. She suspects he is having a mental breakdown," the report says.
Deputies also interviewed other family members. They reported that Clemmons had been saying he could fly and that he expected President Obama to visit to "confirm that he is Messiah in the flesh."
Prosecutors in Pierce County were sufficiently concerned about Clemmons' mental health that they asked to have him evaluated at Western State Hospital. Earlier this month, on Nov. 6, a psychologist concluded that Clemmons was competent to stand trial on the child-rape and other felony charges, according to court records.
Clemmons moved Washington in 2004, after being released from prison in Arkansas, state Department of Corrections records indicate. That would mean he had gone five years or so before landing in serious trouble with authorities here, according to a review of his criminal record.
Clemmons started Sea-Wash Pressure Washing Landscaping with his wife, Nicole Smith, in October 2005. The license for the business expired last month.
Long history of trouble in Arkansas
News accounts out of Arkansas offer a confusing — and, at times, conflicting — description of Clemmons' criminal history and prison time.
In 1990, Clemmons, then 18, was sentenced in Arkansas to 60 years in prison for burglary and theft of property, according to a news account. Newspaper stories describe a series of disturbing incidents involving Clemmons while he was being tried in Arkansas on various charges.
During one trial, Clemmons was shackled in leg irons and seated next to a uniformed officer. The presiding judge ordered the extra security because he felt Clemmons had threatened him, court records show.
Another time, Clemmons hid a hinge in his sock, and was accused of intending to use it as a weapon. Yet another time, Clemmons took a lock from a holding cell, and threw it toward the bailiff. He missed and instead hit Clemmons' mother, who had come to bring him street clothes, according to records and published reports.
On another occasion, Clemmons had reached for a guard's pistol during transport to the courtroom.
When Clemmons received the 60-year sentence, he was already serving 48 years on five felony convictions and facing up to 95 more years on charges of robbery, theft of property and possessing a handgun on school property. Records from Clemmons' sentencing described him as 5-foot-7 and 108 pounds. The crimes were committed when he was 17.
Clemmons served 11 years before being released.
News accounts say Huckabee then commuted Clemmons' sentence, citing Clemmons' young age at the time the crimes were committed.
But Clemmons remained on parole — and soon after landed in trouble again. In March 2001, he was accused of violating his parole by committing aggravated robbery and theft, according to a story in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazzette.
He was returned to prison on a parole violation. But in what appears to have been a mistake, Clemmons was not actually served with the arrest warrants until leaving prison three years later. As a result, Clemmons' attorney argued that the charges should be dismissed because too much time had passed. Prosecutors dropped the charges.
It appears that Clemmons remained in trouble with Arkansas authorities even after moving away. This year, while Clemmons was living in Washington, a warrant was issued for his arrest, accusing him of being a fugitive from Arkansas.
More home grown Muslim Terrorists? We will soon find out.
