It’s time for a Chicago Parking Meter Revolt

Chicago, IL—I got a rude surprise the other day when I went to lunch with a delightful Belgium actress. We went to an old hangout, R.J. Grunts near Clark Street and Dickens Ave. I did not know about the new pay stations and there were none in sight.

I parked and we had a nice lunch. When I returned I discovered that some civilian issued my borrowed Hummer two computer-generated citations. I also failed to notice that the vehicle I was driving was missing a front license plate. I was sandbagged and became an extortion victim to the tune of $110.00.

Because of this crappy experience I have purchased my last meal in Chicago, ever. I will only dine in the suburbs from now on. I won’t shop or buy gasoline in that city. Chicago won’t get a dime from me ever again.

If I had any free time at all I would have destroyed as many parking pay stations as I could for sweet revenge. I know my cop friends have no interest in catching anyone destroying these devices that are strangling everyone with excessive fees and draconian enforcement.

The machines are there for one reason, corruption.   In days gone by getting seats in popular restaurants at noon was a challenge. Not anymore because, like me the former customers have little interest in supporting crooked politicians and their friends.

 I’m so glad I don’t live in Chicago anymore.

Legalizing Drugs, the Right Way

Washington, DC—Millions of America’s inhabitants are addicted to chemicals that have been outlawed.  The list of banned substances grows every day as ignorant politicians try to enjoin pathetic people seeking new ways to escape reality and experience intoxication.  The police state constantly increases its grip on innocent people that don’t use or want drugs.  Then there are all of us that must pay for the massive failure called the Drug War.

The simple truth is that drug laws have not prevented those who crave illicit drugs from obtaining them.  The laws have not saved lives.  On the contrary the laws have resulted in thousands of killings related to drug trafficking.  Unfortunately many killed are not involved with drugs.  Thousands of lives have been shattered and destroyed by bad police work, botched drug raids and false imprisonment.

The very worst of criminals and corrupt government officials are being obscenely enriched because of the Drug War’s guarantee to keep drug trafficking profits at the highest levels. We have the absolute power to put these criminals out of business in a single day, by simple legalization.

How should we legalize drugs?  Some say regulate and tax them.  On it’s face, collecting taxes on the backs of drug addicts sounds great.  The reality is that continued regulation and taxing of the drugs keep opportunities for government corruption and the same criminals we seek to bankrupt.  There should be no regulation of drugs marked to feed recreation and addiction.  Consumers of the poison need to beware and find their own methods of quality control.   How is that somehow different that what’s going on right now?

Drugs sold for therapeutic reasons still need the FDA and quality control.  There should be no changes here other than to let physicians prescribe whatever drugs they see fit for their patients.  Heroin has a legitimate place in pain management and treatment of elderly and dying patients.  Physicians cannot now use it for any patient for any reason.   In this regard cops need to be removed from our doctor’s offices.

We need to end the arrest, searches and, prosecutions of anyone for mere possession, manufacturing or sale of drugs.  We can do this while keeping the violent behind bars along with those involved with government corruption and money laundering.  That same should hold true for those who have not reported or paid income tax on their ill-gotten gains.  

If we take these simple steps, we do know that street crime will drop to the lowest level ever.  There will be no more turf wars, between drug lords. 

Right now many addicts have habits that consume well beyond $1000,00 per day.  They can’t earn the money any other way than theft, burglary, robbery, sex commerce and involvement in the illicit drug trade.  The outlawed drugs would not exceed to price of sugar, coffee or tea without the prohibition.

If the Drug War had any success at all I guess continuing it would have some benefit.  However we all know the Drug War’s only benefit is to make rich criminals richer.  Why do we tolerate and continue feeding this disaster?

I would like to see the day that addicts seeking treatment to get well can simply walk into a medical facility to turn their lives around.  Instead we have created scam opportunities for bogus government drug treatment contractors that do nothing more than warehouse addicts simply to shave prison time off of their punishment.

Drug addicts are easily hated and demonized.  They are a desperate lot that will victimize or do the most despicable acts just to feed their habits.  Perhaps it’s the right time to help these sick bastards become healthy and productive. 

Why We Have Pretend Border Security

San Diego, CA—There are security interests and vital border concerns for Mexico and America. The solutions offered by both nations are intentionally a total farce.

Mexico is awash with drugs, government corruption and incredible violence. The lucrative and insatiable illicit US drug market fuels it all.

The United States can’t control the addicted or their spending habits. The open border, guarantees the free flow of narcotics along with the criminals that bring them here.

Mexico’s officials have been whining that American gun rights, threatens their internal security. Thousands of weapons purchased by the Mexican government fall into the hands of their criminals. Add to it the efforts of the Obama administration to deliberately ship thousands of guns purchased from licensed American dealers to the same criminals and you have a massive mess.

Any claim that either nation’s governments want to repair this disaster is pure hogwash.

The cure is a simple one. Mexico and the US could cooperatively and tightly seal the border. Mexican criminals would be unable to deliver their drugs killing that illicit commerce. The flow of guns to Mexico would end but for the millions already stolen from the government over the last five decades.

Mexico and the United States could solve their problems with simple border security. The truth is the massive political corruption of both nations will never allow the interruption of the drug trade. We have a Drug War simply to insure drug trade profits.

Cook County Corruption and Making Nancy Jones a Scapegoat

Chicago, IL—Corrupt politicians love throwing tax money at contributors that provide unneeded good and services. To qualify for the free money you just need to make those kickbacks.

The people responsible for burying the indigent, forgotten and unwanted human remains forgot to pay up so their services went unfunded. The result was an unimaginable crisis at the morgue.

Illinois and virtually every agency controlled by Leftist Democrats are virtually bankrupt because of total corruption.

There’s nobody available to remove and bury the unwanted dead. Let’s blame the Medical Examiner Nancy Jones!

Now they want to create a scapegoat out of anyone but the people responsible for the mess.

What’s needed is ending the costly burials and save a bundle through simple cremation. When remains are not removed within ten days by a funeral home cremation is both reasonable and cost effective.

Families can be given the ashes of their impoverished loved ones. Or they can be buried easier and cheaper.

Forensic pathologists are rare in the medical community. Finding one to run that busy facility is not easy. Dr. Jones should not be punished for the failures of crooked politicians.

Surveillance Cameras and Law Enforcement

Chicago, IL—Surveillance cameras will be doubled for Chicago’s public transportation system. That was today’s announcement from city officials as a treatment for the rash of cell phone and IPod robberies.

The wonderful thing about surveillance cameras is not their effectiveness to reduce crime but the political contributions generated by the contractors providing them do great things for re-election campaigns.

Cameras are really not that helpful. There are thousands of images of dangerous criminals that never get identified. Video recordings are worthless in and of themselves.

Most people are unaware that a picture or video in and off itself is hearsay and therefore inadmissible as courtroom evidence without an, eyewitness and or DNA evidence. No jury will never be given the task to determine if the subject in the video is the suspect charged with a crime absent the testimony of a human at the scene.

One by one traffic photo Robocams are being removed from American streets as the cases generated are challenged in higher courts by accused violators. Local judges appointed by politicians will nearly always support the photo extortion schemes created by their political sponsors wanting to fund the fat salaries and pensions of government parasites. The higher courts are more likely to follow the Constitution rather than the desires of the politicians.

The fact is cameras protect no one or for that matter anyone’s property. People with the right to meaningful self-defense or sworn armed cops can at least stop crimes.

Try telling some young dark-skinned criminal wearing a hoodie that the cameras will single him out as the offender and you will hear his cruel laughter as he brazenly unleashes his carnage on some innocent victim.

In Chicago it’s not just the dark skinned hoodie-wearing thugs committing crimes but the politicians inventing reasons to give taxpayer’s hard earned cash to their corrupt contractor pals.

Get The TSA's Filthy Hands Off My Balls!

Washington, DC-The TSA tyrants have made war on American travelers as they freely allow people flying on passports from nations unfriendly to us and dangerous violent convicted felons on our airplanes.

The TSA thugs need to target terrorists and criminals and leave law abiding Americans alone as was the intent of our Fourth Amendment to the US Constitution.

Making Americans submit to sexual groping, pornosanners and unnecessary radiation as a condition to travel in America is disgraceful. This must be stopped.

The TSA has done nothing for real protection but put on a, Theater of the Absurd, they think will dissuade criminals and give passengers a false sense of security.

Obama’s Staffers Bailing out of the Whitehouse over Expected Revelations?

Washington, DC—With the crucial departures coming less than halfway through Barack Obama's four-year term I have to ask, what’s going on?

With Obama’s Chief of Staff, Propaganda Minister and Tarp Czar running for the exits something big must be brewing. They all know there will be a blizzard of Congressional subpoenas in January when these Bolsheviks lose control of the House. Whatever it is, the threat must be much closer than January. These guys can’t get far enough away or out of there fast enough.

Has internal Whitehouse strife motivated staffers to defect and blow the whistle? I expect an October GOP-Tea Party surprise of revelations that will write the last chapter of the Obama Administration.

Obama’s visible mood over the last 30-45 days has been melancholy at best. Even Michelle Obama shows little interest in spending time in the Whitehouse lately. Whatever it is we are about to find out.

Government Forced Drug Treatment is a Scam

With the ill-conceived and ill-advised Failed Drug War came the Nanny Jobs Program for the drug rehabilitation industry. Drug abuse treatment is big business and politicians made lots of campaign contributors, millionaires by creating the system of forced drug rehabilitation centers.

The treatment industry’s payroll is huge and their success is limited to making obscene profits. It’s a huge scam that’s been ripping off taxpayers for nearly 40 years.

Substance abusers can be helped but that help is limited to the addicted that seek treatment on their own. From time to time windows open and the addicted voluntarily desire to kick the habit. These windows are precisely the only moment that rehabilitation programs do anything at all.

Forced treatment is strictly a tool that addicts employ to lessen jail or prison time. The addicted prisoners must pretend to be helped or lose their liberty for longer periods. Everyone plays along with the scam.

The politicians behind the Nanny State Concept want everyone in some kind of taxpayer funded treatment. This is all about ignorance or simple fraud.

I have no objection to taxpayer funded treatment but it must be limited to voluntary application. Drug addicts are in far more danger posed by the Drug War than suffering an overdose. The claim that the government is somehow saving lives is pure BS.

The Drug War should end along with the forced drug treatment scam.

Over the last 40 years every time an addict sought help from me, I worked the phones for them. I tried to find treatment covered by health insurance policies or paid for by government. The answer was always the same. The patient must be arrested and sent there by the courts unless he is very rich. Please, someone explain to me how that’s good government policy.

The drug treatment industry likes things exactly the way they are. Politicians take their advice because they are the “experts”. I guess nobody ever considered the obvious and glaring conflict of interest.

Rod Blagojevich Is Now marked For Death

Chicago, IL—There can be no doubt that Rod Blagojevich knows too much about Barack Obama and his nefarious activity. They both moved in the same corrupt political organization where those on the inside help each other into various shady deals. From well-paid, no-show board appointments for spouses to quid pro quo campaign contributions there are no ethical bounds for Chicago Democrats. There are however laws that these criminals redundantly break.

When one corrupt politician gets caught with his hand in the cookie jar, the code of silence is strictly obeyed. Now that code is threatened by the beleaguered former governor.

When Rod Blagojevich was arrested every politician that had aggressively supported and endorsed him for governor began calling him corrupt and crazy. They had little choice but to discredit Blagojevich because he could have flipped on them in a heartbeat.

Instead of turning on these criminals, Blagojevich patiently waited for US Attorney Eric Holder to soft peddle the case and set him free. The unthinkable happened and now Obama knows he must act quickly or revelations and evidence will surface ending his presidency. That ominous specter was made clear by some not so discrete and very public hints by Blagojevich yesterday.

Rod Blagojevich has zero protection, as he poses a danger to the political future of Obama and other criminals in his administration. The Whitehouse occupants have just two choices. They can get Blagojevich a free ride on some technicality or have the former governor murdered. I’m betting on the latter.

Some deranged Obama supporter will do the deed out of misplaced loyalty and Obama will simply shake his head and say, “Oh well.” Others within the Obama Administration are rightfully nervous that they will be sacrificed along the way.

In any event I think Rod Blagojevich is a dreadfully poor risk for any life insurance company right now.

Taste of Chicago Needs New Suburban Diggs—It’s Time for a Boycott

Chicago, IL—The “Taste of Chicago” has been an ongoing Chicago tradition for the Windy City’s top restaurants to join together on the lakefront and offer up the best food found anywhere. Chicago’s corrupt Daley/Burke Administration has taken all the fun out of this event.

The city’s government has extortionately taxed everyone especially vendors beyond belief. City inspectors will be out in force putting the arm on vendors for bribes as always. They have made parking impossible and the commute by bus, foot or even bicycle is now become a gauntlet of muggers, sex offenders and aggressive panhandlers for the visitors.

The Daley/Burke Administration has turned Chicago into an entitlement paradise. It’s also place where the life has been choked out of business and productive taxpayers no longer want to live. Chicago is not a decent place to work or raise children.

The vendors can and must reassemble their event out in the suburban areas where they can acquaint people to really great food. Unless there are some major changes Chicago’ finest dinning places will have to abandon the city anyway.

On my last trip into Chicago a lunch of pizza for two with lemonade at Pizzeria Uno was $50.00 not including the shocking cost to park a car. It was also the first time I saw that place with over half of their tables empty. Civilization is not long for survival under those conditions.

The horrible news is that the politicians have moved thousands of entitlement addicted Blacks and Hispanics into affluent suburban areas. They’ve brought lots of drugs, blight and violence with them.

Obama is Owned By US Assistant Attorney General Patrick Fitzgerald

Chicago, IL- As former Illinois Governor Rod Blagovejich is being tried for political corruption involved with Barack Obama’s former senate seat Pat Fitzgerald is doing fancy footwork protecting the man that held him over in his job as top Northern Illinois federal prosecutor.

Fitzgerald would have been tossed with the rest of the Bush political trash except that he owned Obama though wiretapped phone conversations. Fitzgerald holds the keys to the Whitehouse and Obama has no choice but to give the crafty Fitzgerald anything he wants. I’d love to see Fitzgerald’s Swiss bank account balance right about now.

Fitzgerald’s arrest of Blagovejich and prosecution has seen the cover-up of evidence because only select portions of the intercepted phone calls were released in the court discovery routine process. Of course there would be a potential fat reward for any federal judge that would protect the man who could appoint him to a higher judicial office. It’s doubtful that the covered up conversations will ever see the light of day under these circumstances.

There are those that believe that Fitzgerald timed the arrest of Blagovejich early enough to insulate Obama from getting snagged into the conspiracy. That cover-up gave Fitzgerald whatever he wanted including being able to continue on inside the Obama Justice department.

Blagovejich was counting on his own knowledge of Obama’s criminal activity to provide him with protection too. Perhaps an end to the prosecution or at least a pardon in exchange for protecting Obama is in order. The same people that endorsed Boagovejich as Governor now claim he's crazy.

Blagovejich should have come clean on this mess long and snitched off Obama long ago. Now we have to hope that his defense team can artfully expose what the prosecutor and judge desperately wants to keep under wraps, Obama’s involvement in the conspiracy. Are we going to pretend that Obama was not trying to get that key senate appointment for a loyal and trusted comrade?

Blagovejich was supposed to have a Fifth Amendment right to summon witnesses for his defense. That right was violated by Judge James Zagel who won’t allow Obama to be subpoenaed by the defense.

Obama has a lot to hide and has all the help doing so that the Obama Justice department can provide.

Live in Chicago? Carrying a gun is a must.

Chicago, IL—The undermanned, outgunned and demoralized police department can barely protect themselves as they move from one bloody crime scene to another. Proactive policing is impossible in the Windy City as warm weather brings out a flood of predatory armed thugs, stalking prey.

The North side parks and beaches have seen a dramatic rise in racially motivated armed robberies, beatings, rapes and killings. The perpetrators are predominately African-American gang members prowling in wolf packs looking for vulnerable victims.

Going to Chicago’s parks especially in nice weather is simply too dangerous. If you must go and have the training bring a suitable large caliber gun and enough ammunition for multiple attackers. Going anywhere at all in Chicago without a meaningful way to protect yourself is crazy.

Chicago’s politicians spent a bundle of tax dollars on corrupt contracts to improve the park system but have not properly funded necessary policing there. The park system is reduced to nothing more than an attractive nuisance and fertile grounds for all manner of violent crime.

If you want to enjoy a fine park perhaps you should go to one of many wonderful places an hour or two’s drive from Chicago. There is the terrific Starved Rock State Park in Ottawa, Ill. You can rent inexpensive, romantic cabins there and enjoy wonderful meals at the main lodge. Nearby is a great public shooting range where you can keep up your self-defense skills.

Remember folks the clock is ticking until all of Barack Obama’s checks start bouncing and civil unrest make Chicago uninhabitable. That could only change if fed up Chicagoans, begin to use their second Amendment rights and refuse to be victims. The cowardly predators will quickly vanish rather than to face real resistance.

Remember if you shoot a scumbag no law requires you stay there or call the police. You have an absolute right and duty to yourself to remain silent.

Leave the scene collecting any and all weapons you can. If contacted by the police remember these four words, “I WANT A LAWER.”

Do not admit anything including being in fear for your life. Save that for your lawyer or a jury if they arrest you. Talking to police will almost guarantee your arrest. Silence is truly golden.

Chicago’s Parking Meter Extortion Can Be stopped!

Chicago, IL—The brand new parking meter kiosks are everywhere now. They accept cash and credit cards. Your failure to feed these monsters will get you in a world of hurt. It’s pure and simple extortion. Chicago’s weather has not been agreeable with these machines. They have been freezing over.

I have an idea! Perhaps we can help these devices with simple spray bottles. That will melt the ice for sure. Insert the nozzles into any and all openings and simply spray the ice away! I’m sure this will be helpful to the sensitive electronics inside!

$340 Million Phoenix Court Building Deserves Serious Scrutiny

Phoenix, AZ—Are some judges, politicians, lawyers and vendors involved in criminal conspiracies to loot taxpayers?

Maricopa County’s presiding judge, Barbara Rodriguez Mundell has refused to turn over e-mails and other records. She has taken the unheard of step by seeking and getting a temporary court order preventing a search warrant from being served on her home and judicial chambers.

Two members of the County Board Mary Rose Wilcox and Don Stapley along with Judge Gary Donahue are under indictment. It looks like there are going to be more indictments on the way.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and County Prosecutor Andrew Thomas have pulled out all the stops in learning what’s been going on with the deal making and glad-handing surrounding the over-priced court project.

It is inconceivable that in a state drowning in red ink that such a fantasy court palace could win voter's approval. The project was approved by the County Board and for some connected folks there are no hard times like there is for the rest Arizona’s residents.

The new court building’s real need is a hard sell on some breadwinner for a family of five who must pay an extortionate fine for a photo speeding ticket received on an abundantly safe stretch of highway with an unnecessarily low speed limit. Adding to that, that lion’s share of the fine goes to the private contractor rather than the government. The final insult being that the contractor donates hefty campaign contributions to the very politicians that have approved the extortion program.

Are the new courtrooms needed to enable the extraction of more money from Arizona’s population for petty violations?

The politicians under investigation are all screaming that this is some kind of political payback vendetta. Should that be a viable reason not to follow the money trail see just where hardworking taxpayer’s money is going?

Should bribery of public officials be off limits for law enforcement to investigate?

I say let the investigations continue. If it gets too hot for some politicians or judges they should seek employment as Wal-Mart greeters and get off the public’s payroll.

The media is not doing their job of investigating these sweetheart deals. Why complain if the law enforcement community actually takes a peek into the underbelly of government corruption? An investigation into Maricopa County’s corrupt practices is long overdue. If Maricopa County public officials are guilty of corruption, I say, “Take them to the tower!”

Maricopa County Supervisor Mary Rose Wilcox Indicted For 36 Felony Crimes

Phoenix, AZ—Maricopa County, Arizona has always been a hotbed for corruption. The legendary land fraud exploits of Ned Warren and later massive savings and loan fraud of Charles Keating could have never happened without the total cooperation of corrupt public officials.

Arizona has long been for sale to the highest bidder. The AZSCAM indictments only snared some low level members of the Legislature because the late Director of Public Safety and former Phoenix police boss, Ralph Milstead tipped of the real legislative power brokers. Law enforcement bosses sans the elected Sheriff must cooperate with the crooked politicians or be unemployed.

As always, the lion’s share of political corruption comes from the Left wing of American politics. The free-spending Liberals throw around the most tax money and that invites the deal makers, lobbyists and criminal underbelly to feed like sharks.

Corruption investigations always go nowhere and local and every level of government wallows in a sea of red ink. The crooked politicians turn their taxpayers into their own personal ATM machines. The only solution they can find is to raise taxes a extort money from working families with photo traffic enforcement revenue schemes.

Arizona’s media is like most American media, deeply rooted in Leftist politics. The large metropolitan areas of Arizona are under a tight Liberal grip. The media protects the political corruption.

Along came a wild Card, Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Joe has his own baggage connected to his ego. Arpaio, stays awake nights dreaming up publicity stunts to endear himself to his voters. He is a master politician who gives the voters what they want. Since Maricopa County is a huge territory his voters are working class Conservatives. Liberals just don’t get elected in countywide races.

Needless to say in Phoenix there is a clash of political culture and ways to deal with things like Illegal Immigration. The Liberals run Phoenix, the Superior Court, the County Board and they control where money is spent. The Left Wing politicians always throw tax money away on unneeded projects that generate huge campaign contributions from government vendors. That’s the only way they can stay in power.

In the thick of this mess is the Wilcox Crime Family. Mary Rose Wilcox and her family have never missed a chance at personal profit and now according to a stunning and breathtaking 36 count indictment Wilcox will have to answer for her actions.

In the meantime the media has come to the defense of Wilcox and another indicted Supervisor, Don Stapley in an unprecedented manner. They are screaming that the indictment is political payback. My question is who cares if it is political payback? If they have committed these felonies why not simply let them hang!

Maricopa County Arizona Is At War, With Itself

Phoenix, AZ—Local politicians and judges in this town have always worked, played and engaged in corruption so well together. They have always protected each other but things are different now.

Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas and Sheriff Joe Arpaio have taken on the rest of the county government like attack dogs. The lawyers, private investigators and bail bondsmen are in for a Christmas bonanza.

If Sheriff Joe has his way most local politicians and even some judges will be wearing pink underwear and living in his Durango tents.

County Supervisors Mary Rose Wilcox and Don Stapley have been scratching each other’s backs for years. Now they are both facing prison for corruption charges. Perhaps they can rat out some of the others enabling taxpayers to get a break!

At the heart of the matter are two law enforcement officials going after their critics with raids and SWAT teams. Investigations are being opened everyday against judges and politicians who have gotten on the wrong side of Thomas and Arpaio.

The good news here is that it’s no longer business as usual as every contract and every shady deal is getting close examination. These deals are the real reason Arizona is broke. The unneeded light rail project and every kind of government building contract have funded political campaigns like never before.

I’m loving this war, if for no other reason it will slow down the corruption. Perhaps this will help limit the time politicians hold office.

It’s also time to end these lifetime judicial appointments too. Six years as a judge is enough for any lawyer. The judges would be a lot more reasonable if they knew they’d be back practicing law soon.

I only hope this war escalates spreading everywhere cleaning up government.

Those video moments of politicians misleading Americans can be counted on being replayed the very second memories begin to fade.

These days political or corporate corruption can’t seem to escape exposure on YouTube. If the mainstream media chooses to keep the public in the dark, YouTube citizen reporters and producers fill that vast void.

Free speech is the very cornerstone to our free society. As a staunch and unyielding Second Amendment supporter I can say the computer keyboard and the video camera are mightier than the sword. Each right protects the other.

The Internet is a natural enemy to dictators and despots. We must fight to keep it free or they will tax and regulate it out of existence.

The camera and the keyboard are not tools for the exclusive use of Conservatives or Liberals.

Don’t be afraid to jump in front of your own camera tell your story.
Be sure to use the YouTube Tag line so people searching on Google can zero in on the names and subject matter of your reports.

Why allow waste and corruption when you have the power to stop it? Why allow injustice when you can expose the truth? Technology has given us the greatest tools ever to protect and defend liberty and we all have a duty to use them.

Once you have that camera, don’t leave home without it!

Our Prisons Can No Longer Afford To House Inmates

Nearly every state in the union has overspent tax money on things nobody needs or wants. We are slowly learning that politicians pour money into the business coffers for campaign contribution kickbacks rather than the need for the goods and services. They politely call that Pay for Play. It’s simple corruption.

California’s in a substantial mess for this reason. Now they are planning to hand out IOU’s instead of tax refunds in the not so Golden State.

At least one prison in Illinois is behind $20,000.00 in paying their power bill. The local utility company is justifiably threatening to shut off power there.

They are desperate to release prisoners. The problem is they want to release young prisoners that can be counted on to reoffend. They want to eliminate the parole supervision and cut whatever corners they can get away with.

There are a substantial number of really old offenders behind bars that can be released to make way for the dangerous young criminals with little or no risk.

I’m talking about prisoners older than 60 who have medical issues, exemplary prison records and who are locked up only because their crimes were so notorious. We are a vengeful society and want cop killers, child killers, and political assassins to quietly die in prison.

Examples of some of these inmates are cop killer Gregory Powell, of the Onion Field fame who is in his 80’s today. Then there is Susan Adkins of the Manson Family who is dying of brain cancer and has already lost one of her legs to the disease. In Illinois there is William George Heirens who has been locked up since he was 17 years-old in 1946.

Many people in prison committed absolutely horrible crime at very young ages and have grown old in prison. They’re too weak, too old and have lost interest in doing the things that put them behind bars.

When a person is in a wheelchair, diabetic, hypertensive, blind or has cancer in addition to being an advanced age it’s really difficult to continue on as a criminal. If a person no longer is a threat to society why keep them locked up while letting out those who are young, violent or are prolific thieves?

Releasing the old and infirmed inmates is far less dangerous than letting young criminals out on our streets.

Frankly if we’d only put more, Pay to Play politicians behind bars we’d not be in this mess. Instead we keep reelecting the pork peddling jerks to Congress and every other office as we whine about taxes.
