Nationwide Concealed Carry Rights is finally on the Horizon!

Washington, D.C.—The movement for nationwide concealed carry rights is gaining unstoppable momentum, as nearly 200 House members—both Republicans and Democrats—have united to sponsor and draft a landmark bill. With the Senate poised to pass it by a comfortable margin, and former President Donald Trump pledging to sign it the moment it reaches his desk, this transformative legislation is closer than ever to becoming law.

Across America, 29 states already recognize constitutional permitless carry, and nearly every other state ensures reasonable and prompt access to concealed carry permits. This legislation will ensure that law-abiding citizens in all 50 states can exercise their right to carry concealed firearms for self-defense without excessive red tape, fees or state restrictions.

Predators and criminals, take heed: the days of defenseless victims are coming to an end. Those who choose to endanger innocent lives will now face the real and immediate threat of deadly force from armed, responsible citizens who refuse to stand by in the face of violence. The message is clear—threatening others could be a fatal mistake. A safer, stronger America is on the horizon.

Why Prosecutors, Judges and Defense Lawyers fail to Understand Lawful Self-Defense

Los Angeles, CA—In this part of the world where the Second Amendment is redundantly denounced people fall victim to all manner of assaults.  When people refuse to be victims and fight for their lives the Criminal Justice System sometimes takes on an evil role.
We must begin with the players in the criminal justice system.  They are all lawyers.  Over the last four decades I’ve met and worked with a great deal of these lawyers.
Only a tiny percentage was ever soldiers, cops or any kind of combatants.  They usually have zero firearms experience beyond watching a Hollywood created shooting.  Specifically, that scene where a person fires a gun at another causing the hapless victim to fly backwards over a car and then through a plate glass window.
Nearly all lawyers are gun rights hating liberals that simply don’t understand that guns save lives.  They’ve been brainwashed their whole lives and during their formal education.
Lawyers are by nature intellectual bookworms that have avoided always violence or being around violent people outside their law practices.
Most lawyers come from upscale families and have enjoyed living in safe communities and have never been confronted by criminal assault or even a schoolyard brawl.
Because of their positions in the Criminal Justice System these lawyers delude themselves into thinking they’re experts on the violence they sort out in courtrooms.  Frankly lawyers are far too often the blind leading the blind on cases where justifiable deadly force is involved.
Most shooting for example happen within seconds, at arms length and are not caught on tape.  Twisting bodies moving at breakneck speed, reflexes and fear makes understanding exactly what happened sometimes nearly impossible.
When you add the lies of the participants, witnesses and others falsely claiming to have seen the incident getting to the truth is nearly impossible.
I found that even the victim’s that succeed in surviving a deadly attack by using deadly force often lie to police in order to exaggerate their self-defense claims.
Wow!  How can these cases be fairly examined, prosecuted or tried?  The answer is monumental and life-changing mistakes are the rule rather than the exception.
Remember forcing a person that justifiably used deadly force to survive to be tried by a jury inflicts massive punishment even if there is an acquittal.
Those accused often lose their life savings, homes, jobs, marriages, friends and reputations while waiting sometimes years to clear their names at a trial.  Bankruptcy becomes necessary further victimizing those wrongly accused.
I’ve seen decent middle-class people who were acquitted leave jail to begin life again in a homeless shelter!
Prosecutors must take responsibility and understand that the accused must be given the benefit of the doubt.  They can’t cave into demands by family members or community groups for prosecution.
Prosecutors routinely wash their hands in the accused’s blood somewhat like Pontius Pilate.  They simply shrug their shoulders and say, “Let’s let a jury decide.”
Prosecutors have a very real conflict of interest since the fewer cases they file means a smaller budget and restricting their chance for advancement.  Bankrupting those innocents they can’t convict is a vicious and heartbreaking reality.
Defense lawyers need to recognize their own ignorance and seek out investigators and experts that can actually reconstruct the violent event.
Reflexes, size, strength disparity and coordination of the combatants along with genuine fear and survival instinct all play a part in a violent event and must be weighed.
In the end we use the reasonable man standard to determine justification.  That includes the reasonable fear involved a violent event.
I have to ask why any prosecutor would concern himself or herself with some aggressive fool that lost his life trying to victimize another.  That aggression should be the solid evidence of doubt benefiting the accused.
Defense lawyers have a duty to put aside their negative views on weapon and self-defense.  They must recognize their job to protect the rights of their clients to things like Castle Doctrine and Stand Your Ground Laws.

Killer Cops are the Result of Militarization of Local Police Forces.

Los Angeles, CA—Police training has taken a fascist turn here along with our political leadership.  One only has to look at the prison population to understand we are in a police state growing by the second into something no rational human beings will want.
Police work is sometimes dangerous.  Criminals despite laws and every kind of gun ban still rape rob and murder.  We insist of maintaining the miserably failed Drug War keeping illicit profits and government corruption at an all time high.   Our liberty and freedom has been at an all time low as a direct result.
We’ve turned street cops into urban commandos raiding homes (many by mistake) at all hours.  The result is far more dangerous than the outlawed drugs themselves.
We want our cops alive and train them to take no chances.  The hero cop is really an endangered species.
I was trained differently.  We had no ballistic vests and carried six-shot service revolvers as we worked the mean streets of Chicago.  We understood two things; deadly force was to be a last resort and to weigh the moral consequences of any deadly force used.
We were taught that mental illness often brought on people’s violent reactions and that we need to be as humane as possible.  Bringing suspects to justice alive was the goal.  Bringing them in dead was always considered a serious failure.
Frankly the average Chicago cop in a busy district could kill as many as 12 suspects a year with complete justification.  Instead cops looked for every reason not to pull the trigger.  Of course where there was no option whatsoever bullets must fly.
In the early 1970s then, New York City Police Detective and psychologist Harvey Schlossberg became the father of modern police hostage negotiation in American police work.  His efforts saved countless lives of cops, hostages and suspects.  The result was his hostage negotiation training that really exemplified the sanctity of human life.  The negotiator that had the fewest injuries or fatalities on his watch won.
Now cops are armed to the teeth with heavier weapons and are protected with military armor and vehicles.  The negotiations end once there is a clear shot, all in the name of officer safety.  Schlossberg’s model has been for the most part replaced with military rules of engagement.  Modern military training that so many vets have has changed the direction of police agencies to quicker use of deadly force at every level.
Something has gone wrong here.  I see no turning back to the days of police heroes like former Chicago Police Superintendent James Rochford.  Rochford brought in mentally deranged war vet, Frank Kulak alive after he used bombs and guns killing both civilians and cops.  Rochford used his own skill and bravery beyond the call of duty as a negotiator to successfully end this prolonged siege.
Today, Frank Kulak would have been taken out like the Waco, TX Branch Davidians were with firebombs and helicopters under scorched earth rules of engagement.
