Donald Trump Should Order Immediate Pardons for Three Heroes

It’s time for Donald Trump if elected to act decisively and grant immediate, full pardons to Julian Assange, Edward Snowden, and Chelsea Manning. These individuals are not criminals; they are heroes who risked everything to expose the deep-rooted corruption and abuses of the American government—revelations that all Americans have the right to know.

Assange, an Australian journalist, simply exercised his right to publish the truth through WikiLeaks, standing firmly on First Amendment principles. His only “crime” was revealing to the world what the U.S. government wanted to hide. Snowden, a government contractor, blew the whistle on the NSA’s sweeping, illegal mass surveillance of American citizens, exposing how our own government was secretly intercepting and storing our private phone calls and Internet communications. Manning, a United States Army soldier, courageously followed her conscience, providing Assange with key evidence of government misconduct and upholding the spirit of the Nuremberg principles by refusing to stay silent about illegal actions.

For Manning, the consequences were severe: prosecuted in a general court-martial, dishonorably discharged, and twice imprisoned. But in following her conscience, Manning refused to obey illegal orders and did the only right thing by ensuring that the American people were not deceived by their own government. This was no different from Daniel Ellsberg’s courageous release of the Pentagon Papers, which exposed lies about the Vietnam War.

As a society that claims to value truth, transparency, and justice, we must recognize Assange, Snowden, and Manning for what they truly are—heroes who sacrificed their freedom to defend ours. They deserve comprehensive and immediate pardons. Manning should also receive full back pay, veterans benefits, and a reclassified honorable discharge.

While the Democrats have shown no interest in doing what’s right, Donald Trump must make these pardons a priority as our 47th President. Assange, Snowden, and Manning have paid enough for exposing the truth. Now, it’s time to recognize their bravery and honor their contributions to justice and freedom.

Obama, Bush and Troubled German/American Relations

Chicago, IL—I have a lot of friends that consider themselves political moderates or even Liberal.  When they saw the wide smile of America’s first Black presidential candidate they somehow fell in love.
After suffering eight years with a horrible president, George Bush many of my friends gambled on this unknown African-American, Barack Obama who they figured could never be worse than Bush.  They all simply wanted change particularly with respect to Bush’s ill-advised wars.
Bush wore the Republican label and his detractors called him a Right Wing Conservative.  Bush was mislabeled as a Conservative when he was nothing of the kind.  His rhetoric seemed Conservative but that was always just talk.  His actions were Liberal and Leftist.  He was also not very smart.
Bush got us needlessly into two wars that really served no purpose for America.  Attacking Iraq was really dumb.
Had Bush stayed clear, Iraq and Iran would have made war on each other by now reducing the threat of Islamic thugs from both nations.  They may have killed millions on both sides.  Instead we made both enemy nations stronger than ever.
Too many of our youngsters came home in rubber bags as a result of Bush’s adventures.  Nobody in their right minds wanted us to continue in the Middle East deadly mess.
Americans were tired of war and wanted to end them and Obama seemed to show signs of ending the conflicts.
Nearly six years later hindsight tells us Obama made even more war than even George Bush!  The Liberal Bush hating media however refused to expose Obama’s missteps no matter how outrageous.
Before his election as president I knew a lot about Obama because of my extensive inside knowledge of Chicago and its massive political corruption.  The history of the former lawyers Barack and Michelle Obama was incredibly ugly.
The circle of Obama’s friends well were known by me as criminals, Communists and hate filled Blacks like their friends Valerie Jarrett and Eric Holder.  The Obamas were both very much tied to the politically connected Communist faction in their Hyde Park neighborhood.
Obama was set to recreate America into a new Communist political model.  His entire political effort was High Treason against the American people and the Constitution he swore to protect and defend.
Three men that exposed massive lies and revealed interesting things about political corruption and technology enabled extensive spying on ordinary Americans and our Allies like Germany.
Julian Assanage, Bradley Manning and Edward Snowden.  They all risked their very lives to reveal the unthinkable.  We must be aware that none of these men made a single dime selling their information to enemy nations!  They all did this simply because it was the right thing to do!
The media turned these heroes into traitors when in fact they were trying to warn us all of unbridled, unprecedented and unparalleled government tyranny.
When a few government officials have the power of complete intelligence of the private lives of members of every branch of government they are empowered to blackmail anyone they wish.
There can be no question that Obama and his minions were able to blackmail and compromise Conservative Supreme Court Justice John Roberts.  That gave them the one needed vote to save their otherwise doomed Socialist Obamacare American disaster.
The German people understood well what a horrible president Bush was and gambled on Obama as a new America Messiah.  They opened their arms and hearts to this stranger they once trusted.
Incredibly, Obama was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize without a single accomplishment other than getting elected president!  Wow, he must be wonderful everyone thought!
Chancellor Angela Merkel learned about Assanage, Manning and Snowden’s troubling revelations.  She blindly assumed that Manning and Snowden were traitors that compromised the security of the free world.  Ms. Merkel would later learn she was misled by the American government.
Edward Snowden desperately needed asylum and was turned down by Germany.  Instead he could only find refuge with our former enemy Russia.
However Merkel soon learned that her personal cell-phone was hacked by the NSA-FBI’s  “Stingray” computer snooping program!
Now Germany has expelled to Americans for spying on them!  This has damaged a sacred trust between to nations that needed each other.  Obama has managed to divide and conquer two strong allies!
Edward Snowden’s period of asylum in Russia is set to expire.  Snowden deserves solid protection from Germany.  He did not get it before because Merkel and her government thought that it would damage German/American relations.  She should rethink that decision and open Germany’s arms to Snowden.
Frankly, Germany is the best place for Snowden at least until a new American President can pardon Bradley Manning and Edward Snowden.
As an American I’m deeply ashamed of the Obama Administration and my citizenship as a result.  I may be seeking asylum myself in Germany if there the continuation of Obama’s criminal conduct.
Every German certainly did not support Adolf Hitler, accordingly this American does not support Barack Obama!
I hope my Liberal and German friends understand exactly why I detest and denounce Obama.

The Crimefile News review of The Fifth Estate

Berlin, Germany—The Wikileaks massive document dumps exposing mass government deception and corruption inspired this film.
Apparently fugitive blogger/hacker Julian Assange somehow got ahold of the script and completely hated what he’d read in this Dreamworks project.
Hundred of thousands of cablegrams were intercepted and forwarded to the Wikileaks organization.  The material was censored before it was published by various news organizations.  Wikileaks went ahead and posted the raw material on line for the entire world to examine.
The biggest issue was the material provided by Army private Bradley Manning.  Was manning a spy or a whistleblower?  I think the answer lies in the corruption and deception by our own government.  Manning is doing some serious time over his role.  Frankly I’m on his side of this argument.  Americans have a right to know when their elected officials are engaging in deception to us.
The scriptwriters took liberties with the story and I’m ignorant of the details that were twisted by these scribes.   The mainstream media engaged in their usual methods to protect their politicians.  The established media no longer controls the message because thousands of bloggers like me have pushed them aside in recent years.
As for the film production it was terrific.  I loved the material shot on location in Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and Switzerland.  I’m so very fond of those European nations.   There is a really terrific night scene shot from the roof of Berlin’s Dome Church that I visited in 2011.  I actually found an iPhone someone left on a pew that I quickly turned it in for a happy owner.
The acting by Benedict Cumberbatch (Assange) was terrific as his former “crime partner” Daniel Bruhl (Daniel Berg) was great.  I’m a huge fan of Laura Linney (Sarah Shaw) who delivered in her State Department role along with veteran actor Stanley Tucci  (James Boswell).

van Houten and Linney
I’m a total fan of the talented Carice van Houten (Birgitta Jónsdóttir).  Van Houten portrayed a member of Iceland’s Parliament and the publicist for Assanage.  I must confess that I found that the Jónsdóttir roll did not offer van Houten a chance to display her terrific gifts of emotional interpretation.  Nonetheless I did enjoy watching her bring the pages of her script to life.
If you like Europe’s terrific eye-candy and culture this film is for you.  The only problems that I see is that the ignorant movie going masses are totally apathetic to government corruption and deception. That is the kind of ignorance that allows for fascism and tyranny.  Apparently most Americans would rather worry about the interracial relationships of the Kardashian bimbos.
I liked the film and will add the Blu-Ray DVD to my collection.  The photography and special effects were somewhat groundbreaking.
On a side note I want very much to see Carice van Houten in the kind of roles that better test her abilities. I want to see this lovely Dutch lass walk the Red-Oscar Carpet.   As an SAG-AFTRA actor myself, I’d be thrilled to play a scene or two with Van Houten.  Someone needs to cast me as her father or perhaps boss.
I have a script with a starring role for van Houten and I’d love to play her character’s lawyer.  I guess I will have to keep on dreaming.

WikiLeaks and Julian Paul Assange Traitor or Hero?

Berlin, Germany – On a soundstage here filming has begun on the WikiLeaks story.  It surrounds a reporter, Julian Assange who apparently hacked and captured tons of secret government communications. He soon released them to the world.
To no one’s surprise the governments involved have mislead the world of their agendas and conduct.   America has been running a secret government and gotten involved in dubious wars that our citizens know little about.
We learned from Assange and his cohorts that our politicians cannot be trusted.  For his revelations Assange should be a hero.  Letting the world know about the lies, distortions and reality should have brought about political revolt. Instead ignorant Americans continue follow their Judas Goat straight to Hell.
My favorite actress, Carice van Houten is playing the spokeswoman for Assange and his group.  I know the film will be good and hopefully it will enlighten the world.
I’ve been ashamed of the wholesale deception, fraud and criminality of my own government for years.  Our government does not reflect the values of the citizens I know anymore. We must begin to hold those politicians in our government accountable.  Frankly we need to find ways to appoint special prosecutors to go after these miscreants.

Julian Assange Exists because of Government’s Lies and Damn Lies

London, UK—This sad saga began when a non-mainstream journalist, Julian Assange obtained a huge amount of undeniable government records and simply published them.  They pertain to the conduct of governments we expect to he honorable, forthright and free.
Primarily the UK and the U.S. lied to their citizens and the world about the issues that led to two wars and thousands of American lives.  We all know that it’s our politicians that send our children off to fight their adventures.  Politicians must rely on public support and to gain that support time and time again through history they use lies and propaganda to achieve their means.

Politicians are serial liars by their very nature.  We all have the liars we prefer but we never demand they tell the truth.
A nation like Switzerland need not fear disclosure of their efforts because that nation is not ever involved with policing the world with their ideals.
Unfortunately the United States is run by a bunch of politicians that always gain personal profit for their misconduct.  War is always profitable for our politicians even when they can’t win.
The role of a journalist is not to protect governments, but to tell the world just what their governments are doing.  Famed writer, George Orwell that I quoted above also said, “"Journalism is printing what someone else does not want printed; everything else is public relations."
Julian Assange has taken great personal risk to do his job.  He’s embarrassed politicians worldwide and now they want to make him pay simply because he did his job.  There is an incredibly huge paradox, the nations screaming the loudest are the ones that claim they have freedom of the press.
I feel uncomfortable joining the ranks of Michael Moore, Danny Glover and assorted Left Wing radicals that have come out in support to Julian Assange.  I dare to say that the founding fathers of this great nation would have supported him too.
We must demand truthfulness, transparency and accountability of our government no matter what political animal or party is in charge.
It’s a total farce that the UK has placed a ring of 40 cops around the Ecuadorean embassy 24/7 to nab Assange if he tries to leave.  Ecuador has done the right thing here and I salute them in the name of freedom.
