Lindsay Lohan Nixes Linda Lovelace Film
Hollywood, CA—When I heard Lindsay Lohan was set to play the late porn star, Linda Lovelace, I saw this as a career ender. That’s a role that should be played by a real porn star without a gag reflex and nothing to lose. This was a terrible role for Lohan.
The other story is the production company was unable to find insurance to cover this troubled actress. getting out of that film was a gift for Lohan. Now we can see what unknown actress will become world famous for her ability swallow monster man meat.
Lohan is both pretty and a talented actress. She was raised in a dysfunctional family and advised by both solid entertainment industry professionals and some real trolls. Lohan was a victim of her own early success and wealth.
Lohan came out the successful Disney machine. Another, alumni of Disney is my dear friend, and Golden Globe winner Ann Jillian. Ann has express deep sorrow for Lohan difficulties as have I. I think discarding this woman at her age is pre-mature. Ann wants Lohan to use that natural actress discipline to defeat her other demons too.
Lohan needs to resurrect herself from the bad friends and choices she made. Getting out of the Lovelace film is a great start. There’s no reason that Lohan cannot achieve the kind of scandal free success enjoyed by Jody Foster, Meryl Streep, or Hillary Swank.
I think it’s fair to say that Lohan is the casualty of a failed Drug War. I can’t help but think of the great talent of a lad that was almost consumed by drugs and a prison cell. That is Robert Downey, Jr. Downey got serious and took the cure and has been terrific in the many films he’s done since.
Can Lohan or Downey fall again? Sure that can happen but it’s time to encourage rather than discourage these two.
Lohan has the right looks, and she’s now the right age to play the lead of my own film project, Come Friday. The true story of a heroic Chicago policewoman back in the days all policewomen wore a uniform that consisted of heels and a skirt.
A lot of Chicago cops read my blog and would as I do have concerns that whoever plays that role never bring the late policewoman Ann Leybourne discredit. I invite and expect some comments from them on this suggestion.
I think this role would inspire Lohan’s recovery and help her to be all she can be. I’ve discussed this idea with Ann Jillian and her husband of many years, retired 023 District Chicago police Sergeant Andy Murcia. They, like me think she right for the role if I can ever get the film financed.
Whatever happens, Lindsay Lohan deserves a chance to get on with her life. Remember Lohan has never physically hurt or stolen from anyone.

Memories of one Chicago Police 023 District Sergeant
Chicago, IL—One of the most important landmarks in Chicago is the old Town Hall, 023 District station. It should be restored and turned into a museum or at least a watering hole for off-duty coppers. I never worked that district but would have loved the assignment for sure.
One veteran of this building is my pal, Andy Murcia.
I met Murcia long ago as we were waiting for our cases to be called in the old Branch 64 courtroom of Judge Lawrence I. Genison. This was the last stop misdemeanor court for those defendants demanding jury trials. Nobody wanted jury trials just a better break before this very soft judge.
Andy had just made sergeant at a time when few white males could be promoted do to never-ending litigation in the federal District Court.
Andy had a great part-time security gig at the Ambassador East Hotel on the gold Coast. One night he happened upon a terrific looking lady that changed to good sergeant’s life forever. That lady was none other than, Golden Globe and Emmy winning actress Ann Jillian.
If you are too young or seem to have forgotten Ann’s lively work a search of YouTube will bring up many video clips for your enjoyment.
Ann was making a smooth transition as the child star of Babes in Toyland, Gypsy and a memorable Twilight Zone episode. Ann and Andy fell in love and Andy eventually took a leave of absence to become Ann’s manager. It was off to Hollywood. Despite terrific success soon Ann took her own leave of absence to become a full-time mom. Their son Andy is a tall, strapping 18 year-old college freshman today.
Andy is quite the writer and I thought I’d share his memories of his old 023 District home with my readers.

Ann Jillian Will Rock Spokane April 15
Click on Picture to enlarge it.
Spokane, WA—Okay I’m plugging my dear friend Ann Jillian’s show at the Northern Quest casino here. Trust me this is no chore, Spokane is in for a treat.
I know Ann through and her husband a former Chicago police sergeant from 023, Andy Murcia. Andy met and soon married Ann when he met her while working his part time security gig at the Ambassador East Hotel. Andy saw this little hottie all dolled up and thought she was a hooker.
Instead of getting solicited for some kinky and expensive fun, the lucky copper was invited to see her show which was running in town. Understandably the good sergeant was hooked but in a way he never expected!
Andy soon took a leave of absence from the department and headed off to deal with Ann’s career that included Emmy Award nominations and the coveted Golden Globe. Ann was also a popular Atlantic City headliner.
Rain fell on this young couple in the form of Ann being diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a horrible experience that struck while Ann was at the height of her career. Ann was and is a disciplined individual who possessed the right stuff and took control of what was trying to control her. She took a short break of just 11 days to have a double mastectomy and was right back singing, dancing and acting.
Ann did not let her life-threatening medical problems change her life but soon the birth of her son Andrew, Jr. got her undivided maternal attention. There was little time for films and TV series as Ann became the perfect mom. Today, Andrew, Jr. is a handsome, 4.3 grade average student that will be starting college in the fall.
Ann is a role model and sought after motivational speaker helping women afflicted with breast cancer understand there is not just life but great life for survivors.
Ann does occasional concerts and has the voice of an angel. You can visit her web site Annjillian.com and obtain her CD’s.
Ann still has a solid fan base that loves her. If you’re in the area get your tickets quick because they are nearly sold out. There’s only one word, WOW!
Sit back and enjoy a couple of songs from Ann past film performances.

Twilight Zone Celebrates Its 50th Anniversary
Los Angeles, CA-There was once a little guy of Five-feet-four with a slight build. He answered the call of duty during World War Two where he was seriously wounded and earned a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. This tenacious little man made a big impact during his time on this earth.
This man was a writer breaking ground in the new media of television entertainment. His writing covered a lot of ground but his flashback nightmares of the war gave him ideas for his most memorable and wonderful TV series, Twilight Zone. Twilight Zone first came to our television sets 50 years ago in October of 1959.
The Twilight Zone treatment and a few of its early 20 minute scripts sat idle and grew hair for 11 years until some CBS suit took a gamble on this strange show and gave it a green light.
The series ran for five years and featured some wonderful actors including my dear friend, actress Ann Jillian who at age 13 starred in an episode called, The Mute.
Steven Spielberg made his film trilogy with the same name and soon Leonardo DiCaprio will resurrect this concept once again.
The little writer with the huge talent of course was Rod Serling. In 1975, Serling died at the young age of 50 from those nasty cigarettes, two heart attacks and failed heart surgery.
I got to meet his widow, Carol Serling several years ago at Theater Palisades when she stopped by to watch yet another run of her husband’s play, Requiem For A Heavyweight.
Serling broke ground bringing his recurrent social themes to the small screen that displayed the worst and best of human behavior.
Of course there are so many other works Serling left for us including the Night Gallery series. I think it’s safe to say there are many more Twilight Zone TV marathons and remakes in our future.
