Chicago, IL—In a state with unusually harsh eavesdropping laws The City of Chicago is apparently surreptitiously recording the in car conversations of their own police officers. The Second City Cop Blog has just posted some information about the privacy invasion of Chicago police officers. There are suggestions that it’s all being done for the officer’s own safety. I find that impossible to accept since they never informed the officers of this departmental spying.
This should be investigated and if found to be true the people responsible should be arrested and prosecuted.
