Springfield, IL. -- How can you hold an impeachment trial against Governor Rod Blagojevich without any actual witnesses involved in the events under review? The Illinois Senate should put off proceedings until they can compel and hear testimony from witnesses. To hold the proceeding with no viable way to present key witnesses is little more that a major embarrassment. Not only are they trying to proceed with hearsay but the hearsay is so overwhelmingly incomplete. The Senate will not have enough evidence to really know whether there was an impeachable offense with any acceptable evidence. They only have portions of allegations. Illinois legislators are making themselves the laughing stock of the nation. They really need to avoid the silliness and wait to proceed when and until the evidence needed is available and they are prepared to give the governor due process. Oh what a circus, oh what a show!

Chicago, IL-- It seems I’m not the only one that is suspect of the impeachment efforts against Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich . I’ve argued that there is an effort to, discredit and destroy the governor while covering up the wrongdoing of others. The Illinois Legislature is unlawfully engaged in an obstruction of justice by blocking any evidence helpful to the governor’s defense. You cannot deny any American of the basic right to confront an accuser or bring forth witnesses in any proceeding where life, liberty or property is at stake. The governor’s employment contract and paycheck is certainly property. They are violating his rights under the Constitution. I’ve never been a fan of this beleaguered governor or the people he ran with. Springfield, IL —In a move I predicted, lawyer, Ed Genson will wind up litigating Governor Rod Blagojevich's removal in Federal District Court rather than before the Illinois Senate. The cunning lawyer said today he'd not become part of an un-American exercize. The heavily, Democratically controlled Senate won’t afford Blagojevich simple due process rights such as being able to subpoena witnesses and confront his accusers. They are afraid of exposing Barack Obama to revelations that would lead to his fall from Grace. The court will have no choice but to stay any removal and order the Senate to stop violating Blagojevich’s rights. NY,NY —In the Catholic Church there was a patron Saint of travelers. He was St. Christopher who was defrocked as a saint by the church as a myth over 20 years ago.
